The road leading to the hotel was dark and narrow, and not sign posted very well. House not lit up and looking a bit dismal.

Breakfast was amazing. So much choice. Staff were helpful and friendly. Would recommend to everyone.

Spacious, light filled room with comfortable beds, armchairs and and a nice view over the fields. Large bathroom with an enormous corner bath and shower too! Nice touches such as welcome cakes and chocolates, a selection of teas and coffees and pretty duvet covers. An excellent breakfast including a variety of fresh fruit and jams and yoghurt made by the very friendly, helpful and informative owner!

The smallest of qualifications. The bedrooms have a private bathroom dedicated to each, but they are across the landing. not directly opening out of the bedrooms

The conversion of the oast houses into a beautifully-equipped and characterful stopping place has been done with great skill and imagination. The setting in deep countryside is restful, but a convenient, short and attractive footpath takes you past the ancient church into the village, and to the popular Queen's Head pub with a wide menu, good wine-list and welcoming staff. Be warned though, the helpings are generous to a fault. The breakfast at the house was exemplary -as were the directions for finding the house. The proprietor was warm and tolerant in responding to any request, and provided for any rational need a traveller might have.

Didn't want to walk to accommodation after meal at the pub, too dark and feared we would get lost. Recommend to use car.

Excellent breakfasts, good quality and plenty of it. The host was very very friendly and helpful in every way, nothing was too much trouble. We liked the room we had, overlooking green fields. If in the area it is the place to stay.

There was nothing to dislike.

The property and grounds, the room and facilities. It was so peaceful and location perfect. Breakfast was delicious and ample. Kate the host was very welcoming, so helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend staying here and we plan to make a return visit.

Nice and quiet.😴 We where racing at Lydd and a great place to recharge away from racing atmosphere , successful weekend all round Valentino Kimmi kirk was impressed which isn't easy , didn't get any 1st this weekend but two 2unds, and four 3rds as had bike issues but he kept pushing. Everything during our stay exceeded our expectations . Kate ( the owner ) was very helpful and informative and just a very pleasent person . Also a good cook and breakfast was very appetizing and well cooked . The location was very quiet ( no traffic ) and the bed was comfortable and great powerful shower ( just how i like it ) . We chose well and would not hesitate to book again in the future . Thank you Kate .

located in glorious, peaceful countryside yet only a short distance from Historic Rye,full of character and quirky. Comfortable and cosy an enormous comfy bed. 10 minute walk from local pub serving excellent food. if that wasn’t enough the breakfast was delicious and plentiful, nothing was too much trouble for Kate the owner, who will have a good chat and able to give great information about surrounding area. This was a return visit and it certainly will not be our last.

Excellent breakfast, spacious room, lots of teas and snacks in the room which was a bonus, lots of character to the property. Kate was very friendly and helpful. It's a very rural, quiet location out in the sticks but we had bikes so was a 20-30 minute cycle to get into Rye and is close to Winchelsea.
