Shepton Mallet itself is a little quiet at times, but has an interesting history and the historical area is well worth a visit. This is a great base for visiting lots of nearby places of interest.

The whole package, it is in a lovely quiet area, the room was clean and very comfortable and the breakfasts excellent. Alan, the host, is very knowledgeable about the area and is an excellent host. Tea and cake in the pretty and sunny garden was an extra bonus.

This was our second stay at this lovely B&B, and it was just as good as our first. Everything - from the beautiful garden, to the well-equipped rooms, to the delicious breakfast - was fantastic. The owner is friendly and helpful, he's very knowledgeable about the local area and happy to recommend places to eat and visit.

Access is a little difficult but in no way detracts from the overall appeal of this property.

This was with out doubt the nicest Bed and Breakfast that my wife and I have stayed in. The accommodation and breakfast were excellent and the host Alan could not have been more helpful in recommending places to eat.

There was nothing we didn't like.

We enjoyed this Gust House from the moment we arrived and were made very welcome. The host was very accomodating and even provided tea and cake on arrival. Were we to visit this part of the country again we would stay here.

Literally nothing I liked everything.

Alan and his fruitcake and breakfast. The rooms the bed and courtyard area very nice to have a wine. Nice bathroom, clean, super comfy bed. Alan had lots of recommendations of where to go and was super helpful and accommodating.

Fantastic historical building dating back to 1670 ! Very sympathetically and cleverly modernised. Beautifully fitted out with lovely furniture and paintings. The potting shed room to be recommended.

We were wowed by the accommodation. Our host was very attentive and on the ball. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This was for work purposes as we were exhibiting at the nearby Bath and West Showground. However, we have decided to revisit for a holiday break in the near future.

Limited parking, although we did manage to park all 3 cars. The accommodation is tucked away in a quiet, pleasant location. Shepton Mallet itself was disappointing.

Fantastic breakfast. Beautiful buildings in a quiet location. Very comfortable accommodation & spotlessly clean. Recommend the Chinese and Indian takeaways.

Extremely comfortable and cosy room. Lots of nice touches by host,welcome tea and cake! Host extremely knowledgeable regarding area and what to see and do. Would totally recommend.
