Wonderful friendly staff - really good food at a reasonable price. Room was absolutely spotless, with fresh linen and generous towels. Bar has a wonderful range of Beers and wine which again were reasonably priced for a Hotel. Never judge a book by its cover - The exterior of the Hotel just doesn’t do it justice - it’s really a bit of a travellers gem.

Didn't know how to get in when came back front doors locked. Noisy room (No 4), bed quite small, sink in bathroom didn't empty, noisy water/extractor system when in bathroom.

The only difficulty on occassions was the parking.

The staff were outstanding - friendly, accommodating, considerate and efficient. Excellent room, evening meals and breakfast varied and very good.

No “Guest Book” in the Room to say how you exit etc. My Partner needed to go to Work and was late because he thought he might set off an Alarm if he touched the Fire Exit or the Main Door.

The overall decor, the beautiful bedroom and the gorgeous food.

Parking the car was a bit problematical as the p;ace was busy and had to wait until late before a space became available. The kitchen had problems with appliances which meant some things could not be accommodated.

My entire experience was satisfactory, would stay there again. Meals were fine, Bar service was OK and the rooms met my expectations. The staff were friendly and attentive even though the night was busy.

No major complaints or grumbles. I slept with the window open, a bit of traffic noise, and a Cockerell early in the morning woke me up at 4 am. Parking is free, but spaces are a little tight.

What an absolute cracker of a hotel and restaurant, from the moment you arrive the staff great you with a friendly hello and you feel welcomed. The room was super clean and comfortable. The bed was probably the best one I've slept in for some time and a huge shower with plenty of hot water. My god, the food in the restaurant is amazing. That alone is worth 10 stars. When I'm back in that area, I'll be a repeat client. Well done to all the staff there.

Music and noise from pub underneath was ongoing til 1am

It was hard to figure out where to check in at the pub and we had to wait for punters to be served as other staff were busy about the restaurant area Shower pressure was weird. The guests that were staying in the rooms next to us were very loud coming back at 1am and then again at 4am, obviously not the hotels fault but I thought I would mention it.

I had the best steak I've ever had in the UK at the restaurant. The room was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfy as well. The location was perfect as we managed to hit up 5 Castle ruins before 12 noon.

TV reception in room was very poor. Please get a cable or smart TV.

Excellent breakfast. I was supposed to leave for hospital at 730am and they made breakfast from me even though breakfast time was 8am. Much appreciated. Thanks

I don’t really have anything negative to say, but if I had to pick something it would be to have a more powerful shower?!

Facilities were fantastic, with extremely helpful and dedicated staff. Couldn’t do enough for you!

Good parking. Clean quiet and comfortable room. Good bar selection. Excellent restaurant with a wide choice of menu. Great breakfast choice served by a friendly staff member. An enjoyable stay.

Staff very friendly. Fabulous food served hot. Could not finish the full english breakfast however it set us up for the day. Highly recommend.
