Sharon and Mark are excellent hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are very clean and the beds are really comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, pre-ordered and cooked to perfection. Sharon and Mark are also really helpful when it comes to explaining what is available locally, recommending places to see and eat.

There was nothing that needed improvement for us.

Our breakfasts were amazing,very plentiful and good choices,very tasty and filled us up for the day. There was fruit juices,endless coffee and tea, porridge was cooked to perfection, and the breakfast table itself was laid out beautifully.

This is a little gem, great location and close to town and beach. Mark and Sharon are very welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

This was our 2nd visit to Melba house, so we knew exactly what to expect, just amazing!!! Sharon and Mark are such wonderful hosts and and the nicest people you could ever wish to meet, also the breakfasts are just stunning!! look no further than this bed and breakfast and you won’t be disappointed.

Sharon and Marc are great hosts. The room, breakfast and location are clean, tidy and it feels like home. It‘s only a 10-15 Minutes walk to the Harbour. They helped without hesitation when help was needed because of a flat tyre. We are very grateful and would have stayed longer. If we ever return to Cornwall we‘ll definitely will come back to you folks!

Sharon and Mark were fabulous hosts who went above and beyond in trying to make it the best possible stay. Breakfast included high quality local produce and it was cooked to a high standard. The rooms were clean and of a good quality. I can highly recommend Melba House if visiting Torquay.

A plug socket by the mirror would have been helpful, but that really is about it.

The property is a lovely 10 minute walk to the seafront. Breakfast really was amazing, but above all else, Mark and Sharon are exceptional hosts. You really feel like you are valued and much more than just a customer. Little touches like your initial on your breakfast, chocolates at night and a little goodie bag for the road were great touches too. Also, the shower was very powerful and nice and warm.
