Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLike many of the other reviews, we wished we'd booked more than one night! My Partner and I live locally in St Austell but with the season picking up we don't find much 'us' time in-between working, so had a phone free evening/night/morning in this gorgeous hut, super cosy and well equiped, and if you're an animal lover like myself the ponies are an added bonus, so friendly and inquisitive whilst we ate our breakfast outside watching them roam. The hut is small but so well kitted out, also surprisingly not claustrophobic, my partner is 6ft so found the bed to be slightly snug but manageable short-term. Our favourite place we've stayed as a couple, we will definitely be back!

United KingdomThe shower head didn’t aim at you very well as the attachment holding it to the wall was worn. The lock on the front door was incredibly stiff as the door had swollen so getting in and out proved difficult. I also had no phone service or mobile data and there was no on site WiFi or a TV. I also wish I could have cuddled the ponies more as they were just gosh darn adorable.
The ponies were adorable, the parking was easy and the location was amazing. The hut was very aesthetic and cosy and even though it was cold when we got there, the heaters warmed it up extremely quickly.

United KingdomNo mobile phone hook up to charge up. Beware how quickly the heater warms up Miners hut very efficiently. Shower Towels didn’t smell as fresh as they should. Maybe the car parking space made a bit larger. As turn around space was a bit back and forth.
Clean and tidy with tea and coffee when you arrive. Beds comfortable, good shower with everything you need for short stay. Directions given to you are spot on. Wife fell in love with the pony’s.

United KingdomIt was a bit chilly, and the walls got slightly damp due to the cold, causing the bed to get a bit damp.
We loved the little ponies and the helpful map and food ideas. The games were amazing and we loved having a fire too. It was in a great location very close to the eden project and other points of interest. The hut itself was very clean and tidy. The photos of the place were very accurate and its in a beautiful area. It's amazing that someone so young is in charge of this.

United KingdomThere is nothing we didn’t like! As we had very busy days we only wish we spent longer actually in The Miner’s Hut.
The Miner’s Hut was simply beautiful, so well thought out and cozy. We appreciated the no contact arrival and yet despite this it felt so incredibly inviting. It’s prettily lit up outside once dark and toasty warm inside - we didn’t need to do anything, it was all set! It is well equipped (we definitely over-packed!) and had so many homely touches. We loved the view and the friendly ponies, it just felt so special. The location was great, like you were in the middle of nowhere, but so close to local amenities. We would really love to come back!

United KingdomNo blind on door window so light came in early. Bed normal size but with cabin walls would be slightly cramped if tall.
Really cute hut, small but very clean and well equipped. Lovely garden area and views. Quiet location. Wandering ponies to say hello to! Owners really quick to communicate and helpful. Lots of local guide books. Walking distance to a winery!
