How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Bathroom needs a bit of updating
We loved the character of the Mirador with lots of small touches to make you feel welcome. Philip and Jeanette were excellent hosts and made checking in fabulously easy. We were in the oriental suite which was spacious and the bed was superbly comfortable! The excellently stocked fridge for our breakfast was a treat!

Everything is great, if you are aware that you are staying in old historic property where it is not easy to meet today's standards of comfort and sound insulation.
Location and owner/manager are great, breakfast was fantastic, the facility is very charming with unique interior decoration, I would sincerely recommend Mirador over any hotel in Swansea :-)

There is nothing we didn't like.
We were a family group and so got to see four very different rooms. We loved the thematic touches in each one that made the stay fun without neglecting comfort as everything was to a high standard. So many lovely touches like the chocolates. Really comfy beds too. The continental breakfast was more like a a feast.

Any niggles seem churlish in such a place but it is never ideal to have the bed in the same room as the fridge. And the "tea and coffee making facilities" are just the kettle (listed separately), plus teabags and instant coffee (and sugar etc.)
The themed decoration was just amazing, really made it feel special and a home away from home

If you’re looking for something different this is the place for you ! Absolutely brilliant idea with themed rooms , haven’t seen a place like this before ! From the moment you step in the door it’s an experience.. lovely warm feeling place .. fantastically well stocked fridge , spoilt !! And all the mod cons you need with all the extras thrown in .. il be back :-)

Parking was on the street but we didn’t have any problem finding spaces.
Had everything you would expect from a quality residence - clean, warm, comfortable etc but then so much more, with its quirky themed decor and furnishings. Fridge stocked with breakfast foods. Shops and restaurants just around the corner.

Loved everything except leaving!
This was a wonderful find. Placed perfectly for our needs with a range of food and drink options within walking distance. The room itself exceeded expectations, every detail had been thought through. The hosts couldnt have been more considerate in making our stay run smoothly and kept in contact throughout the whole process from booking through to checking out. Would highly rate this place to anyone looking for more than a hotel.

A little hot at night and had to have the windows open.
Great hotel. Had everything we wanted and great location to nearby Uplands. We enjoyed the personal touches and the continental breakfast was lovely.

Absolutely amazing little place! The themed rooms are wonderful and the owner could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The only probable is they are selling due to retirement so if you're staying in Swansea you need to book this ASAP!

No private parking, but we already knew this when booking and left our car nearby. Winter quilt was a bit too heavy for us, but that’s a personal thing.
Excellent communication from the owners with absolutely everything you could possibly need. A very comfortable bed and an unbelievably well stocked fridge. The kooky decor made for a different stay!

We were unexpectadely upgraded to the Oriental Suite which exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious, well equipped, super comfy bed and more than generous breakfast plus small bottle of prosecco in the fridge. We could ask for nothing more and will definatley be returning.
