staff need to be aware of loud and antisocial behaviour in the hotel's garden which seriously disturbs guests with rooms facing that way. I had to handle the situation myself and threaten to call the police on the first evening there. No where in your garden is there a sign asking customers drinking to respect neighbors and residents, as far as I could see. I left a message on the reception voicemail, frankly asking for a discount given the disruption, but no one got back to me. 11.45pm and people sitting in your garden laughing and swearing out loud, as if they were in their front room? Really unhappy with that, your staff should put up signs and cameras to discourage that behavior and multiple complaints from guests - I can't be the only person who has suffered.

Loved the family room, but toys were old, missing parts. Access to rooms was difficult with suitcases due to lots of stairs and doors. Lift didn’t go down to reception. Main problem was lack of information about parking and finding the entrance/ car park. Was woken many times by other guests as early as 5am. Would have preferred larger towels. Heating from radiator went straight out of the window so was quite cold.

Lovely staff, very friendly and attentive both at reception and at breakfast. Very relaxed atmosphere, and loved the fact you can bring dogs, would definitely consider this next time. Very clean and comfortable beds.

Description AND photograph on Bookings was of a single + double bed in the room- the staff said this room does not exist! The booked room was really small and pokey and not what I would consider a superior room. Despite lifts the disabled access is poor and unsuitable for wheelchairs

Excellent customer service from the staff! Very happy to change the room when there was noise from the bar/restaurant below. Always pleasant and very helpful Bedrooms newly decorated and super clean. Good breakfast

Really unclear how to find reception from the front of the property. Staff required every form of ID, car reg even though not parked at property and card details for damage deposit on arrival. Lift wasn’t working, no clear directions to room, had to carry my bags up three floors, whilst heavily pregnant and got lost multiple times. Wifi didn’t work in room, spoke to reception, they said they’d look into in but no wifi for my whole stay.

they had no spare pillows at all, we had to leave our car keys for the staff to move the cars although they had a sign stating that they do not except any liability for any damage or theft so they shouldn’t be driving customers cars in case they are damaged. parking is charged at £10 per night. there is no proof that the staff are covered by insurance to move the cars, they lock the fire door leading to the restaurant over night.

Was hoping there might’ve been a fridge in the room, some of the other residents were clearly breaking the rules like climbing out on to the front patio and being rather loud at unsociable times. Thought there could have been a toaster in the breakfast room for our use.

Very small room, should be sold as a single not a double. The bathroom was like a broom cupboard. Also our room over looked the beer garden. Was woken up at 2.15am with very noisy people in the beer garden. Every second word was a swear word.

The food wasn’t great from the downstairs restaurant. It said in the information book about a 10 percent discount to guests but this was never put on when paying the bill nor was the question asked from staff to see if we was guests. Over priced meal which the wife was sick throughout the night.

The room was tiny for a double and a single. The bathroom was even smaller. Toilet and shower cubicle which was pretty much on top of each other. The room was constantly warm and dated. Iron burn mark on the carpet and jjst in need of some TLC.

Hotel was very good for what we paid. Beds were very comfortable and adequate for a 2 night break. Bar closed really early so we couldn’t have a last drink. Receptionist staff very good. Happy, showed us to our rooms. Good stay weather was good. Thank you for a great weekend .

We won't be returning. We complained to the manager and received no response. We had what I can only describe as emergency housing guests arrive at 2.30 in the morning. They were discussing an incident that had happened earlier, swearing talking about the police. I have 3 small children that could hear everything. They then spent the rest of the night bouncing up and down on the bed (need i say more) again my kids could hear the whole thing. Awful

Our kettle wasn’t clean, we had to rinse ourselves and the water came out orange from the amount of Limescale at the bottom, therefore didn’t use. The shower gel wasn’t restocked after asking on arrival The heating was stuck on The shower was either too cold or too hot, no in between Booked a room with a extra sofa bed and then told on arrival if we wanted to use it it would have been an extra charge.

Location was perfect. Bed was very comfy and plenty of room for a standard double bed, felt bigger, we had our toddler with us. Parking available. Friendly staff.
