Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomInstructions for WiFi came rather late so I had pay to sign up to EE WiFi to send a message. The SMS message containing the instructions should be sent earlier so there is more chance of getting it in good time since this region has patchy reception. There was an electronic beep outside the door to the room. This is not a problem for sleeping at night if you have some ear-plugs with you.
It was a perfect for a stop while walking the Cambrian Way. The room was comfortable and had facilities for some simple food preparation (kettle, microwave). There was a small sitting area with a table outside the room for a cup of tea in fine weather. The Glyntawe Arms is a 15 minutes away and has a good selection of evening meals.

United KingdomWe had a kettle, toaster and microwave which was great. Enabled us to do breakfast or a snack. We did feel it lacked crockery. There was only one mug and no dinner plates available to put a couple of pieces of toast on.
It was warm and cosy. Very clean and excellent location. Very comfortable bed and nice shower and bathroom facilities.

United KingdomFew little niggly things that may have been down to me only booking within 24hrs. Couldn’t find the room key but I literally arrived late and didn’t leave room until I left the next day so wasn’t an issue. No tea or coffee in the room but there was sugar and a kettle. Little dogs bark in the evening but once asleep I heard nothing. Says earplugs provided but I couldn’t find any.
I stayed in the family room upstairs. Room 3. It has slanted ceilings which wouldn’t be ideal for tall people but I’m not. It was clean and bright. It had an en-suite. Also lots of extra facilities like fridge, microwave and kettle. It was perfect for me as id booked to go riding with them the next day. Riding treks are really excellent.

United KingdomDue to the room being in the roof space and my height, movement was restricted at times. The accommodation was about 8 miles from the town centre which was problematic when it came to meeting people in the evening.
A nice clean and warm room, ( weather was bad ), enough facilities to cook a meal and the bathroom was close at hand. Host was friendly and approachable and willing to help if needed. The room was ideal for one person.

United StatesThe noise- dogs, cats, and horses made sounds all night. It wasn’t unbearable but it did make us have to close the windows on the back side of our room.
Owner left us instructions for how to get in, she was very friendly and nice to us when we arrived. There are local pubs just a mile down the road which had great atmosphere and food.

It was ideal for a wedding we attended at Craig-y-nos castle. It was noticeably clean and had everything we needed.

United KingdomTheir was no wardrobe to hang our clothes or hooks to hang our coats. Plus their was no dressing area with a mirror to put makeup on or dry my hair. The best suggestion would be a small single wardrobe with a full length mirror. Apart from this it was a nice comfortable room and suited our needs
A nice clean family room. We were able to cook our breakfast in the morning. It is a lovely area to with a lovely view out of the front window. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm at all times. Chocolate and biscuits was a nice touch.

United KingdomSelf service check in and although the list of amenities included a hairdryer there wasn't one - you had to ask for one. We couldn't contact the owner - We messaged and knocked at the door. There is no phone signal. Luckily I had a heated brush but we were going to a wedding and I could have done with a hairdryer. The owner also failed to answer a query we sent before we arrived. We had no contact with them while we were there.
Accommodation was good and extremely convenient if you were going to an event at Craig y Nos

United KingdomThe Internet was patchy, I found it hard to get a decent meal as I didn't have my car so getting a meal without a good Internet connection or transport was bad. The shower ran out of hot water in the afternoon. The main road in front of the stables was not fit for walking on. This did not have anything to do with the stables though. The steps could be lit up in front of the property as they are really dark on a night.
The people and staff in the stables and the castle wete amazing. Everyone was so helpful and kind. The horse riding was great. And the accommodation was fine. The scenery was absolutely spectacular. The room was warm and comfortable. The horses were well looked after and well behaved.
