Beautiful little barn, surrounded by fields but close to town. Great to relax while exploring the north coast

The barn was perfectly designed to accommodate our family. The hosts were at the barn to welcome us and show us around, answering any questions we had, which was lovely. We have already booked again.

If you dislike bugs this might not be the place for you.. So many bugs on the floors and walls and in the showers. The downstairs bed frame is a little loose and very squeaky. WI-FI does not reach downstairs and reception is quite bad, so maybe a Wi-Fi extender would help that.

Great location. Property had everything we needed, couldn’t have wanted for anything. It suited us perfectly as we are friends traveling and we got our own space. Great to have access to a washer and dryer when you are traveling so much. Lovely hosts and the cat was a great addition when she came to visit.

Only drawback was the walking distance to the main town but on the flip side we all felt safe in the fact that all the motorbikes were in a safe place, and the surroundings were really scenic.

The accommodation was excellent and the owners were really welcoming and accommodating to all our requirements. The cottage was high spec, warm, with excellent utilities provided, and parking secure for our motorbikes.

We had a fantastic stay as a family for a week in Northern Ireland. The property was excellent and had everything we needed for our self catering stay, good location for visiting all the key attractions in NI. The hosts were lovely, with great recommendations for things to do and places to eat (check out their website for Scotts Barn for recommendations with links to local attractions). The welcome pack and breakfast items were perfect to get us started. Would highly recommend this property.

It would be impossible to find fault with this property or hosts.

Location was superb, standard of facilities would be hard to beat and cleanliness was spot on. Hosts Des and Delores were so welcoming and friendly. We will certainly coming back for a holiday and use Scott's Barn for business each time we are in Northern Ireland.

    We loved everything

Des and Delores were amazing hosts, the renovation work at the barn was done 2 a fantastic standard. The barn was in a quiet area in the beautiful country side, there are lots of lovely scenic drives close by and it was about a 5 minute drive to Cookstown The place was very clean and I hope to stay again very soon

The only thing that could have been better was the weather.! There are a couple of lovely terraced areas which we were unable to take advantage of

This is a first class property, spacious and immaculately clean. It is in a quiet location , yet Cookstown is only a five minute drive away. We were greeted by our hosts on arrival who were extremely friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend Scotts Barn

Within easy reach of things to do.Lough fea walk and Seamus Heaney exhibition centre a must with lovely cafe. Both nearby. District 60 and Royal hotel in cookstown great for food. Portrush with lovely beach good for a day trip. So much to do as its mid ulster so everywhre within reach. Barn was top notch and great to relax in with good outdoor facilities. Hosts on site but separate. Very approachable and helpful. Whats not to like. Ensuite bedroom on ground level good for people who dont fancy a lot of stair climbing. All in all a very enjoyable 3 day break.
