Location and cleanliness. Everything was perfect, the hosts extremely courteous amd responsive.. the only gripe we had was that we couldnt have gone for walks in the area eother in the nights or early mornings due to fear of the dogs, which although llooked beautiful their barks were ferocious :-) :') otherwise ot was a great enjoyable stay and strongly recommend

Spacious cottage, great character. The hosts have thought of everything. The kitchen was clean, spacious and contained everything you'd need. Living room had lots of books, games and TV for entertainment. Garden was excellent for the dog.

The bath is nice and big. The beds are very luxurious and comfortable. The house is stylish and spotless. The garden is enclosed - great for dogs. The setting is fairytale farm house on the edge on a huge woods surrounded with lochs and waterfalls, all you can hear is birdsong.

The remote location of the cottage was just what we were looking for. Every thing about the cottage was great, but a special mention for the heating! We were there in early December and it was always toasty warm.

The property is simply gorgeous, lovely homely feeling and very cosy. Each room is beautifully decorated and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Bart,Alex and Fidel made us feel so welcome, and we appreciated all the tips and suggestions of things to do. They were so kind and nothing was too much trouble. The countryside right on the doorstep was actually our favourite part of the trip. Just a beautiful part of the world. We took the dog with us and he had a little fenced off garden all to himself, which he loved. The beds were ridiculously comfortable!

Lovely, cost cottage in a stunning rural location. Cottage is beautifully decorated and retains many features of its former use as a stables. Lots of room for us all and it was always warm. Many miles of walking and cycling routes right on the doorstep. The forest is a lovely place to relax and I could spend all morning watching the many different species of birds feeding on the bird feeder and the berry tree in the garden. House was equip with everything we needed, and a large stock of books and games to keep us amused, including a handy book for identifying all the birds. Bart and Alex are excellent hosts and we got a warm welcome as soon as we arrived. Highly recommended this cottage for a very tranquil and relaxing rural getaway.

For our purposes the cottage was ideal but the lack of local stores in Garve does mean that you need to stock up in advance.

An excellent cottage, warm, well equipped and altogether a wonderful place to stop. Alex and Bert were extremely helpful and welcoming hosts. We loved the library of books on Scotland and the all-wool pillows and duvets.

Recently returned from spending few days at the amazing Stable Cottage. Perfectly situated next to beautiful woodlands and close to Black Water river. It was great place to stay while exploring Highlands. This is a holiday home that has been thoughtfully designed to make relaxation second nature. We love the quirky details of the stable's interior and all rooms have unique charm. The cottage was everything we had hoped for. We will definitely return to Stable cottage in the future.
