How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Beautifully decorated and equipped.. all the mod cons...would’ve happily curled up there all day if I hadn’t had a wedding to go to! Owner very welcoming and accommodating... so comfortable a really haven!

All great. A minor request - please could a small cafetière be provided.
An ideal base just outside city centre - walkable to town centre/local bus (check online timetables!) Spotlessly clean and comfortable, equipped with all you need for a short stay. John was very responsive via the app and available for queries if needed. He offered a friendly welcome, explaining how everything worked - and recommended a great local eatery.

On street parking.
An excellent property with friendly owners who communicated well. The welcome pack of milk, orange juice and madeleines was a nice touch even though there's a large Tesco very close by.

Everything was perfect...
Studio 33 is immaculate and there has been a lot of thought put into everything with great attention to detail. A lovely gesture to have fresh milk ,water and juice in the fridge on arrival . The owners were friendly .polite and very helpful. The location was perfect for me being just a short walk to the college. I slept so well in what was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in ,even the duvet felt luxurious ! This will certainly be my go to place to stay whenever I am back in Chichester .

Minor issue was car parking. On street is available, but I was uncomfortable parking outside a neighbours property. Every other aspect of my visit was exceptional.
Beautifully presented studio apartment. The hosts have put a lot of thought and effort into offering this studio to visitors. Accommodation was perfect for my personal business of 5 days in the area. A real home from home. Everything as required for my stay. Quiet and private.

Nothing we didn't like.
Accommodation: everything needed for a couple on a weekend stay - kitchenette, kettle, fridge, microwave, hob, TV (with Netflix), small table with comfy chairs, with many complimentary items; tea, coffee, biscuits, milk, juice and bottled water. Modern decor, bright, clean, good space, great bathroom/shower. Bed very comfortable, we had great night sleeps!! Iron/board available on request if required. Large skylight gives even more light if needed. Plenty of on street parking available. Location: ideal for everything. 5-10min drive to Chichester centre depending on time of day traffic or 20 min walk. 2 min walk to Tesco. Chichester High Street is lovely, full of great cafes and restaurants, shops and architecture, with a museum and wonderful cathedral. The two theatres (we watched Rock Follies at the Minerva) have a very large car park with a 2 min walk to the high Street. Hosts: John and Karen (and if you get chance to see Bear the daschund) are the perfect hosts. If you want to chat, they are more than happy to engage or leave you to your own devices. We were a little unsure when booking as there were no reviews (qenow know its a new listing) but we are so pleased we made the right choice...we will definitely stay here again if we are ever in Chichester!!!
