The host was nice. The room was clean. The location was perfect, we arrived straight from Edinburgh airport, we wanted out of town right away.

The bed was very soft so quite uncomfortable. Ideally, it would be great to have WiFi given the phone signal is poor.

The breakfast was very nice. Staff were lovely and helpful. Quiet room.

Would be nice to have a sitting room. The bar/ dining room was nice but there are only 2 armchairs.

Lovely room, comfy bed nice linen and toiletries . Spacious Bathroom. Food very good. View of mountain great. Friendly and helpful staff. Loved the furniture.

The owners are lovely. They admit they are in the process of ‘doing the hotel up’ which is ongoing.

Nice and remote but not too far from Killin. The decor was lovely throughout, mixing old and new. It was also nice and warm inside.

the property is about to be renovated over the winter season so it would be unfair of me to comment. it has a huge amount of potential and I live the work that has been done so far.

staff lovely, not far from Killin so close to many local walks. breakfast lovely, rooms nice and warm.

Thoughtful touches throughout. Spacious room with incredibly comfortable bed and windows on a beautiful landscape. Best sleep of the last few years. Kind and genuine owners. Looking forward to returning.

Some variety for dinner would make the stay even better.

Dinner was very simple, but tasty. We Breakfast (full Scottish) was also good. The room was excellent - especially the bed and the bathroom.

The lodge is newly opened by the looks of it and I'm sure there will be more upgrades as it grows.

Pre - arrival information felt off putting. Exterior of building looks shabby.

Isolated property in Scottish countryside. Well appointed bedroom with fabulous shower room. Excellent breakfast. Real fire in dining / sitting area. Good bar. Wonderful breakfast.

It was basically all good, however we were a bit warm at night! Which was a bit of a surprise as we had expected - it being an old building and not great weather, to have been a bit cold. The warmth will be needed in the winter however, so it's not really a bad thing.

We stayed in room 1 and it was beautifully designed with a gorgeous bathroom (open the window for a bath with a view!). The bar was attractive and friendly. The breakfast was also excellent, especially the vegetarian options.

I loved the vibe on first arriving at the hotel and received a warm welcome by the owners. The simplicity approach to the decor was clean and modern with still a luxury touch. The bar food on a evening with a delve into some whisky’s of the area was such a good idea. The food was excellent and the breakfasts were just perfect for the day ahead exploring.

The bed was small considering the size of the room and the mattress wasn’t massively comfortable. But perfect for one night and for the price. The ensuite bathroom didn’t feel very private with shuttered doors.

The style is gorgeous and so much more luxurious than implied by its star rating. So well thought out and felt homely but also grand due to the high ceilings and decor. Clearly a family run Labour of love and everyone we met were so kind and friendly. There was a staff shortage when we came and we massively appreciated being called in advance to allow us to book a restaurant in town.

We loved everything!

The lodge is in a gorgeous location and has been beautifully renovated. The room was beautiful, large, plush, very comfy and the shower was amazing. The owners were lovely, very kind and welcoming. We decided to have dinner there and I’d throughly recommend it. The sharing boards are amazing and the drinks selection top notch. We had a brilliant time and would definitely come back.
