I like the location tucked on East Hill. The views from the windows are spectacular. The house is very comfortable. It is a great feeling to have , even for a few days only, a house at this particularly place

Some steep stairs which might not be suitable for some people. Next door is an airbnb which had some noisy guests on one night. Beware of the cat poo in the backyard and alley!

Super little characterful narrow terraced house with good views. Well equipped. Tilt & Turn windows. Great quiet location. Good comms with owner. A little back yard with access down a little alley where you can keep your bikes. On a little cup de sac, so can stop on road outside to unload.

What was sometimes annoying was the number of steps you have to climb. But this comes with a small cottage like that. So, nothing to complain abou.

The location was brilliant. I always liked the Old Town of Hastings. And the cottage is just in these narrow picturesque places. The best thing about the house is the view from the top window.

The sofas were very uncomfortable. Neighbours were very noisy through the night at the weekend (not the fault of the owner of course).

Lovely, spacious accommodation. Great views, - we loved the cleverly designed window/balcony in the attic room. Good location in the old town, handy for seafront and lots of great small independent shops, cafes and pubs. The cottage had a quirky homely charm and was equipped with everything you need for a short stay.

A lovely place. It’s compact and the stairs are quite steep, but that’s what you expect in Hastings Old Town. It’s a great location and we found it perfect for our visit to Hastings.

The beds were a bit tired, soft and creaky. 2 doubles and a single which is not as specified, although this suited our needs well. The bedrooms were very light, with only one having a semi decent blind, although this would be hard to rectify in the top room due to the skylights, so bring a sleep mask! Although it wasn’t dirty it didn’t give the impression of having been thoroughly cleaned with dirty tissues in the bedroom bin, empty toiletries under the bed and lots of old post and rubbish in the cupboards and drawers. We would have appreciated a welcome pack / note with directs for how to turn off/ down the heating but we got there in the end.

Lovely property, great location with views over the seafront. Spread out over 4 floors it had all we wanted in space without being too much. Lovely bath, kitchen area and convenient second toilet on first floor. I would return again, as was convenient for us to see family and have more of a base than a generic hotel room. Only a mile to the station meant we could rely on public transport. Close to the old town and lots of places to eat.

Nothing. Historic cottage well laid out... With an xbox one. Yes, for those of us 50 somethings who remwmeber.

A beautiful 4 story cottage located in the town... Ground floor kitchen is superbly equipped with an en suite bathtoom. Middle floor front room, next floor 2 bedrooms and top floor, oh.. What a loft room this is... Floor to ceiling Velux window opens into a balcony type set up over looking the trendy old town... A 30 second walk takes you to the Crown pub for an IPA and pub food. The royal standard for live bands and cheesy bingo, fish sheds and a pint in the blue dolphin pub... What a superb holiday home and location, its so quaint and quiet, no noise just perfect. Im just home now having a chat with the missus and we're just saying what a cracking 3 days we just had at tackleway... Spotless clean and well located amd views to die for. Thanks tackleway

Really only minor quibbles e.g. it would have been handy to have a little welcome folder with a few tips about parking, refuse etc and with electrical appliance booklets all in one place. A blind on the large window in the top bedroom would have made it more enticing to sleep in.

Brilliant location at the edge of the Old Town. Comfortable accommodation with quirky loft room affording fabulous views over the town and harbour, and the night sky.

A lovely charactor cottage in a great location for acccess to the old town, with good views to the rear. I would have no hessitaion in recommending. (Note: 2 steep staircases, so probabley not suitable for people with mobility issues). Limited off street parking, but this is par for the course in the old town, however a public car park is within walking distance (c.5 mins).

In terms of the property and hosts, I can't think of anything else that could have made it better. The only thing that would have improved the stay overall would have been being able to find a parking space close by more easily, but obviously this is outside of their control.

The location was great. Everything that you could possibly need was provided, as well as many things you wouldn't even think of to make your stay more pleasant.

The back door needed replacing, it was damaged. The back patio and furniture was shabby. The front bedroom on the first floor needed a bar across the window for safety. Also blackout blinds needed on bedroom windows.

The location was very central to Old Hastings.
