Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Immaculate. Super clean and organised. Every little detail given attention. My room was very compact but the purpose is to rest and refresh. This place is the closest you can be to the ferry to Ireland with parking and a nice walk to the harbour. I recommend the room with the view, well worth it to watch the tides. Really good to have a common area downstairs for the space to eat.

Rooms are small but very comfy. Staff are all wonderful. The cafe is not open, but the space is available for guests to use, with tables, games, books, fridge and tea/coffee. Close to the city centre and pubs and restaurants.

United KingdomA lot of rumors all the night (it's an old inn so it's ok) but someone nearby (not in the inn) turn on a radio that goes on 24 hours...with very bad taste for music!
Location and cozy room with local history!

United KingdomThere was nothing we didn't like
Loved the common area where we were allowed to store our bikes, that was excellent. The place was just at few hundred meters from the start of the tour de Mon so perfect for us. We managed to find a free parking spot nearby. Loved the self check in system so we didn't have to worry about time of arrival.

IrelandThere was nothing I didn't like per se. The only reason I rated the staff as neutral was because there appeared to be none on the premises or if there were I didn't see anyone
The Hut is located about a 10 minute walk from the Holyhead Train Station and ferry terminal. It stands out from the other buildings due its bright blue colour and nautical themed decoration. This nautical theme extends into the interior which is replete with diagrams of ships, old paintings and illustrations of Holyhead as well as the name of the 5 rooms, 4 of which are named after ships and one which is called the Captains Cabin. It is in the Captains Cabin I stayed for my overnight visit. Arriving there at around 5:15 pm on a Sunday evening I put in the code for the little wall safe which housed the key to the door of the building. The code had been e-mailed to me a few days prior to my stay. I unlocked the door and walked up a narrow, carpeted stairs to my room which was to the stairs' immediate left. I keyed in the other pre-sent code and unlocked the door. The room consisted of a small entrance area, a permanently locked door to my left, the bedroom and a spacious, light filled bathroom with a toilet, sink & bath/shower. The bedroom itself was largely taken up by a huge bed, one of the most comfortable I have ever been in. In addition to this was a TV with Netflix and YouTube connection, a wardrobe, a large window and tea and coffee facilities furnished with two Penguin bars which did not last very long with me! The nautical theme of the building continued throughout the room which was named in honour of Titanic captain Edward Smith. In the morning when I had all my things out of the room I closed the door behind me and returned my key to the small safe on the outside wall of the building. Overall I would heartily reccomend the Hut as a peaceful, comfortable place to stay with clean rooms and bathrooms if ever you happen to find yourself in the Holyhead area.

United StatesThe only real negative was the size of the room, being that it was on the small side. But that was expected since the booking photos illustrated that.
Great location for the train, ferry and town. The room was clean and well equipped. The check-in details were sent well in advance and I found it easy to get in and out. I will happily stay again if I am passing through.
