It was a little tricky to find as we came from a different direction from the main road. Nice kitchen but for a longer stay it might benefit from a dishwasher.

Any small issues were quickly addressed by the owners. A car is essential for a stay at the boathouse. At this time of year there are Agricultural smells which are beyond the owner’s control.

We were warmly welcomed to the property by Amy. The owners provided a carton of milk in the fridge, tea, coffee, a bottle of wine and a box of Belgian chocolates. Nespresso coffee maker, microwave oven, cooking facilities provided. The kitchen is well equipped. During our stay we walked to the Walnut Tree pub nearby and met relatives for a delicious meal. Also within walking distance is the Runcton Farm Shop where we purchased groceries 3 times. 5 miles south is Pagham Harbour and beach where we also exercised most days. We made several trips to central Chichester nearby. The bathroom is heated and hot water is always available. The WiFi always works and you can work from the boathouse. Always plenty of free parking onsite. Outdoor seating is provided but it wasn’t warm enough to sit outdoors. We used the washing machine and dried our clothes on the adjacent patio. Very quiet and private. Large garden is very well maintained. The boathouse is self contained and separate from Marsh Farm House which is where the owners live.

Found the instructions a little confusing. It would be better to say it the wooden gates next to the marsh lane barns complex in my view. A larger sofa would be more comfortable

First time I booked the property I got an excellent deal via booking.com. Due to circumstances I had to change my booking and couldn’t modify it. I cancelled and rebooked but was charged more for 6 nights stay than original 8 nights stay.

Very clean, private, safe, quiet and plenty of space both inside the unit and outside. Well equipped kitchen with coffee maker and ground coffee provided. Lots of goodies also. Hot water always available in the bathroom with shower. Bought groceries at Runcton Farm Shop nearby. Would happily return in future.

Not sure about the dogs. One terrier visited our patio on a couple of occasions. Another dog greeted us barking. Friendly but we are not great 'doggy' people so came as a bit of a surprise. Did not spoil our stay.

The peace, comfort and tranquility. Sadly unable to meet the host but the couple we met at the property were friendly and obliging. Will look forward to returning perhaps when Melanie is there. Would love to meet her.

This is quite simply superb self contained property for a short stay. The location is excellent: just a few minutes' drive from Chichester and within easy reach of the south coast. The property itself is set within the private grounds of the owners' home so it feels extremely secure and very peaceful. The Boat House itself is a stand alone property of exceptional quality. We had access to everything we required and the rooms were spotlessly clean.

There is nothing we did not like - sitting/dining area was not large but it also had two outdoor sitting areas to appreciate the weather. Beautiful accommodation, large bedroom with comfortable bed and a great shower.

It was a coded gate and keys at annex. Host also there to greet us despite our late arrival. Very nice touch. Fresh eggs from the chickens. 😊 Garden furniture, BBQ and loungers with a stunning view of the clients property and gardens.

Some crockery and cutlery had not been washed very well by previous guests. We were able to sort this easily, but would suggest it needs checking as there is no dishwasher.

Good location, quiet and peaceful. Warm and comfortable for a visit in January. Good facilities, great shower.
