it was a bit frustrating that the other guests kept propping the inner security door open despite the signs saying to keep it closed, as it seemed a bit of a security risk. Not a negative but a note: there is no secure onsite parking despite the impression I got from booking.com (there was a Parking icon in the facilities list for the hostel). However there is off-peak parking on the residential streets behind the hostel and very good value 24-hour parking in an unsecured lot just across the road in front of the hostel, so it worked out well.

the room was nice and warm, the bedding and towels were fine. the checkin procedures were very easy and the receptionist was very helpful even though we were only in contact by email. the kitchen facilities were very good, and I'd stay again and cook my meals there (we went out for dinner but it is good to know there is a good kitchen for our next stay). The location was very handy for the train station, and there is a great polish bakery/cafe just across the road on the way to the station.

The Bunkroom is ideally close to the city centre. I was pleasantly surprised that the kitchen is equipped with everything you need.

Because the kitchen is shared, and then the tenants who live together use the kitchen, they do not turn on the range hood afterwards, and the smoke is relatively large, of course, this is not the problem of the accommodation.

The location is great, close to the train station and not far from the city centre attractions.There is a kitchen available.

EVERYTHING WAS FINE, BUT THE CUSTOMERS OF THE PUB OPPOSITE WERE QUITE NOISY UNTIL LATE

There isn’t much to say that I didn’t like, other than the toilet wasn’t as clean as I’d expect on arrival, but everything else was perfectly clean and the room in general was pleasant and comfortable.

Lovely spacious room, well-made beds and the bedding smelled amazing! Really helped me drift off. The room was very warm and had everything that was needed for a quick overnight stay, with a few hangers for clothes and plenty of space for luggage, even chest of drawers either side of the bed which would be helpful for longer stays. The shower was surprisingly good, and the towel/bath mat were fresh and clean. The property is in an ideal location, so I was easily able to get to the train station, and all communication with the host was easy over messages. Clear instructions for how to get in, key codes etc and no hassle to check out. I will definitely be staying again!

Decor was a bit tired, but for the price I have no complaints.

Graham was very helpful, communicative and friendly. The room itself was fine for the price, decor was maybe a bit tired but the beds were comfortable. The bedding was clean, bedroom and bathroom were clean, met our needs for an overnight stop on a long journey. A short walk to Chester city center, a nice pub over the road if you want a drink. Plenty of takeaways and food places to choose from close by. Overall we were satisfied and had a good night's sleep.

Only thing that i slightly disliked is the fact that there isn’t really set time for reception so it’s important to message them beforehand and say what time you’ll be arriving, otherwise you can’t enter the building if the person in charge isn’t around.

Loved it that there was a communal kitchen you could use to cook some breakfast and other food and an outside garden/ terrace area. A communal living room area with a tv too was lovely. Everything felt very home like, with very pleasant and easy to talk to staff, gave recommendations what to see around Chester and shops nearby.
