The view from our room was a bit gruesome as builders had scaffolding up. We were there for two nights and we never saw anyone working on the property.

The room was ideal. It had everything that we needed.

Parking in local carpark is not set up for over night parking unless you want to put a ticket in the car at 8am,but did find free on street parking near Tesco's which is about 5 mins walk away .this is obviously nothing to do with the hotel and is a reflection on the local council

Nice central location and very quiet on a Sunday night, and ruthin has a nice friend feeling and would recommend .also I like the 2pm check in and not having to get up by 8am for a hotel breakfast as checkout is 11am and breakfast is served until midday

The cost of external parking. Waiting for staff to be available But I understand they are short staffed and advertising for more

I did enquire about paying for wifi but wasn't given this option. Wifi in bar and restaurant area is very poor. It was fine in the room though. Very expensive parking in public car park close by. It cost £16.40 over the two days.

comfortable spacious room with everything i needed. Good choice of food on menu and friendly staff

    Nothing.

My wife and I came to Ruthin from Dublin to attend The Most Haunted Experience at Ruthin Castle and decided to spend the night beforehand at The Castle Hotel. The best way we can sum up our stay is to say, you can't go wrong staying here.

It would have been nice for someone to offer help with our cases as husband in 80's and I have walking difficulties but to be fair they are very busy there. Other than that everything

I stayed in one of the larger rooms at the front of the hotel this time and it was really nice! The room is huge with a comfortable bed and a large bathroom. I always stay at this hotel when I am in the area.

Felt bit cold in room. Draughty in pub. (Stayed in Feb and it was particularly cold weather.) Bit noisy with creaky floorboards and people passing door through the night.

Friendly and helpful staff. Great food. Fab location. Amazing views.

It would be nice to have a lift fitted so it must be noted that if you have a disability the stairs are challenging. The carpark (Pay & Display) at the rear of the hotel has 6 free spaces for tge hotel provided on a first served basis although I suspect locals are using these, as I’ve been a few times quite early ie 4pm and not managed to get one yet.

This is a nice place to stay with very friendly staff and clean rooms. The food is good quality and reasonably priced and there is a good choice of beers being Weatherspoons. I didn’t know they did rooms but would recommend based on this hotel.
