Perfect location in the old town, big room (Deluxe One Room) over looking St Gille's Cathedral and just down the hill from the castle. The room/apartment was very well equipped with a lounge area and kitchenette- tea/coffee (milk and water in fridge on arrival), cooking hob, washing machine and dishwater . A/C. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

I did not enjoy the various codes that you needed to remember to enter the building from the back and to enter the room. I would have preferred a key. I also didn’t enjoy the strongly scented products found in the facilities.

The high end appliances lack user manuals and I ran into a glass wall due to poor / faulty lighting - very dangerous and still suffering form a bad bruise on my head

There was nothing to dislike, we loved staying!!

We loved everything, the decor, the comfortable bed, the bathroom, the kitchenette was well equipped, especially liked the fact you provided fresh milk in the fridge and coffee pods, with a selection of teas, additional blankets, fresh towels each day. The views to St Giles Cathedral. Brilliant location, close to our favourite restaurant The Witchery by the Castle. We would love to stay again when we’re next up for business/work combined with meeting up with family! Really impressed with the accommodation.

The extreme cold weather of Edinburgh.

The location, the ambience, the technology, the staff, the breakfast...almost everything Need a hotel in Edinburgh old town? Seek no more... This is the outstanding spot for you. All aspects will exceed your expectations....the location, the cleanliness, the services, the time preceding technology, the decoration and most of all the breakfast which is a la carte but what you get is certainly beyond expectations. The receptionists are all very elegant, smiling and welcoming, ready to render any assistance that you may require. On departure day i requested  a late check-out and it was approved on the spot taking in consideration the busy touristic season at the time. The room is spacious and bright, the view is stunning, the cleanliness makes you feel you are the the first guest to use the room. Now for me...one of the main attractions of Edinburgh is Cheval old town.

The staff are very friendly and always say hello when you are leaving the hotel or arriving. The room is a perfect size and has everything you could possibly need. The location is excellent. I travel to Edinburgh for 1 weekend per year and will certainly book here again next year.

This was our first accommodation for our European holiday, and boy did it set the bar! As soon as we arrived, staff were friendly and so helpful regarding recommendations, showing us our room and the facilities it had. We had the room that overlooked Edinburgh, which was amazing to go to sleep to every night. Bed comfy, shower and bath wonderful and the little sitting area to enjoy a tea and look out to the views was delightful. It was so close to everything too, which was a huge bonus while exploring. Could've easily spent more than 3 nights here. Thanks for having us. I hope to be back again in the near future!

perfectly located, closer to all the sites you wanna see and all the tour operators meet right practically in front of the hotel if you wanna do a tour. The highlight of this hotel is by far the staff.
