The toilet seat was broken a d too small for the toilet bowl.

The complimentary breakfast basket with milk and juice in the fridge. I was also able to do my laundry. Wish there had been a dryer, but that's the Brits for you.

Comfortable despite a few drawbacks, but not one of my top options within reach of Inverness.

The shower is one of those stylish but impractical ones with a big open space onto the bathroom, so whatever you do you end up with a puddle on the bathroom floor. Frustrating, because there was excellent hot water pressure but I had to turn the shower down to a dribble and minimise my time showering, to reduce the flood. I couldn't find the output power of the microwave (800W, 900W, whatever - the one thing you need to know with a microwave!) and its dials were a bit cryptic. The bed was comfortable and the duvet was huge and thick, lovely and warm, but the sheets were loose and got into a tangle. Desperately needs a clothes rack for drying clothes after using washing machine. The kettle splurted hot water out of the sides of the spout all over the worktop. Wifi a little slow (though it is a rural area).

Very well-appointed and well-organised accommodation, with almost everything you need, and all in good condition and good working order. Excellent room-heating from a ceiling panel. Very good ventilation in the bathroom (which is less common than you'd think!). Plenty of hot water. Large comfortable bed. Well signposted from the public road. Very convenient to have a washing machine - but nowhere to dry clothes! Clever cupboards and storage arrangments meant that everything worked well in quite a small space. Lovely thick, soft, generous towels (again, not as common as you'd wish!)

    Limited hanging space for clothes.

Spotlessly clean. Shower room gets 11 out of 10. Short walk to local shops and bus stop to city centre about 2.5 miles away. Lovely Welcome Pack supplied. Friendly and helpful hosts.
