This was an on the day booking and it was everything I needed, if not more. Perfect location on the sea front, lovely bar and really good food at a very good price! Staff were super friendly and my room was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Plenty of space, toiletries and a fantastic cooked breakfast the following morning. Will definitely return!

Centrally located with free street parking a short walk along the seafront, large and well decorated in the sea view room ,great amenities, comfortable bedding and furniture, powerful shower - fantastic value and the food/drink were incredible and reasonably priced too

Public Car park across road .. charges a little confusing, we had to renew ours at 8am.

We went to buy another drink at 10pm and the bar was closed - it was a Friday night too!

Carpets in our main room were a little dirty so needed a clean. The reception was linked to the dining room & the entrance was a little tight. So on checking in one has to go to the dining/restaurant area which was a little awkward if you have luggage as you will be disturbing other guests who are having their evening meal if you are checking in late. Not a problem if you are checking in between 14.00-17.00 as I presume the guests will not start their evening meal before 18.00. Being a four star hotel I have to be a little critical.

Nice clean rooms & bathroom with plenty of space. Comfortable beds. Good heating as we went at the end of December. Kettle in the room with enough tea & coffee capsules supplied. Excellent breakfast & evening home cooked meal. Staff were very friendly. Will return again. Thank you, David & Elena Brown.

Hotel kitchen closed before 6.30pm which meant we couldn’t get a meal. Also, states there is parking but there is no parking onsite, only paid parking near by.

We didn't mind that there was no lift as we only stayed 1 night, however some other people might have issues, depending on how long your stay is, really. The carpet on the stairs looks old, surely it could be replaced with a more modern one or just be removed altogether and replaced by wooden stairs or tiled steps, thus making the whole place look more upmarket. We parked on the road to the right side of the hotel, as it was across Saturday night to Sunday there was no charge, however during the rest of the week I believe you're supposed to pay for street parking, nothing to do with the hotel but I just wanted to mention this.

Located on the promenade and also close to the town centre shops. We arrived later than the latest check-in time, so after speaking with a member of staff over the phone we collected our bedroom keys via the little deposit box located next to the entrance door, this was effortless. Our family bedroom was located on the top floor, it was quite spacious and, as far as I can remember, clean. The TV was huge. The bathroom was also of a good size. We paid £120 for 1x night, however this rate was the refundable one, we could have paid £100 non-refundable, breakfast was extra and optional, overall a not-too-bad rate for a family room in this day and age. Full English breakfast was good and very fairly priced with various options, and kids under 12 eat free, the breakfast room was cosy. The staff we dealt with were pleasant enough, however we didn't have any problems and it was just simple chatting.

Really nice and comfortable room with a little separate bedroom for my son. It was lovely and clean and great location. Really enjoyed our stay . Value for money was so good ! And on breakfast too which was lovely aswell 😊
