Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomMore information about how to gain access to the main door after hours. As we had no interaction with anyone on check in we didn't get the opportunity to ask. Although we were provided with a mobile number which we had to ring after midnight but was talked through how to gain access with a white fob attached to our room key. Felt bad for disturbing the person at such a late time and could have been avoided if information was included in our print out sheet we received on check in.
The location was 1st class Ease of check in keys and paperwork were left at reception so we could check in that little bit earlier which was very helpful to us as we had a table booking which clashed with the later check in time. Even though we only interacted with 1 member of staff briefly the lady was very friendly.

SwitzerlandI arrived after 6PM I didn't see any receptionist at check-in (key with my name was on the desk) nor at check out at 11AM. But there was a phone number for emergencies. It all worked well, so I wasn't too bothered about it. Be aware that there is no elevator. You'll have to carry your suitcase 4 floors up if you're on the top floor.
Absolut amazing view and furnishing at the small little single room on the top floor. Great value for money.

United KingdomNothing everyone and everything was great
On arrival we were greeted by a charming gentleman he told us to park by the side of the hotel as out room was on top of the fire exit steps. He then came down those steps and helped us carry our bags and dog bed up the room. The room was massive with a balcony overlooking the sea. Table & chairs on this. We had 2 beds one single one double, a couch coffee table and a telly. We also had tea coffee making facilities and for a change lots of milk too. Three packets of biscuits hairdryer and soaps to wash with. Breakfast room was fabulous overlooking the sea and Caldey Island. The sun was shining and glittering off the sea is was very pleasing to the eye. The room was very pleasant & the breakfast itself was amazing.A choice fruit to start yogurt etc Toast marmalade jams etc and then a choice of Full English or vegan breakfast with a lot of other choices of cooked food as well. Everything was very clean and tidy. 100% will be coming back.

United KingdomCan't think of anything really. No parking but not surprising given location and carpark 3 minutes walk away.
The location was incredible - easy walk to the huge beach for dog walks. Also 1 minute from town with all the pubs and restaurants. Ideal! Friendly welcome and very comfortable room. Lovely cooked breakfast with lovely friendly service from a lady who had worked there for years (always a good sign!).

United KingdomWhen we arrived at the hotel, we were welcomed like family. Graham was friendly and warming. Explained everything we needed to know about the hotel and facilities. When we got to our room, it was clean and very cosy. Unfortunately there was an issue with our room that could not be rectified immediately. We were relocated to another room which was bigger in size and had the most amazing view. We were told initially that we could only have the room for one night but Graham would see what he could do and let us know. We honestly thought that we would be going home the next day. To our surprise, Graham came back to us and said that we had the room for the remainder of the stay. Thanks to another couple / family who agreed to move to another date. The room we had (family room no.27) was stunning. Extremely spacious and clean. We had a balcony which looked out onto South Beach and a very nice sized bathroom with bath (always a plus for us). The breakfast in the morning was beautifully cooked and the staff very warming and friendly. I can honestly say this hotel is one of the best that we have stayed in within Tenby and I'm sure it will remain to become a regular stay in the future. Thanks to Graham and the team for making our stay very relaxed and stress free.

United KingdomNot really a negative but bear in mind is there is no parking at hotel. I parked at the South Beach Car park, which in fairness is not that far away. I think I paid £12 for 24 hours. Also if you are staying on the top floor there is no lift with plenty of stairs to contend with. Worth considering if you have mobility issues?
I was given a single room at the top of the hotel, looking out over Tenby Seafront. Room was comfortable and quiet, had a peaceful nights sleep. Breakfast was included and served from 8 am to 9.30 am, partly help yourself, although they took your order at the table for the cooked breakfast, which was great. Location is fantastic, looking out over the South Beach and Tenby Town centre is only a 5 minute walk. Would recommend.
