Nothing. Maybe time for new bedding with a nice duvet and pillows but definitely not a deal breaker.

Idyllic spot. The pub is also a wonderful mini motor museum so there's lots to see and look at. Fabulous walking on the doorstep. A friendly welcome and nice evening meal. Proper pub grub. Our room was a little tired and dated but spotlessly clean. Thank you 😊

Reception rather unwelcoming. Desk in front hall but staff member seated in office behind with his back to the front door. Dining was not in separate room but just at tables in the bar. I was on my own and felt conspicuous. There was no information of any kind in the room (except fire drill info). It would have been good to have confirmation of meal times and some info about the history of what was clearly a very old property. Food lovely but prices rather high for food and drink.

The location was very convenient because I was meeting family nearby. The scenery was stunning. Plenty of room for parking. The food was excellent and service good. Room comfortable.

The much vaunted nature reserve in much need of urgent maintenance, and the 2 foot-bridges are positively dangerous, and should be fenced off! We could only hear and not see the water-fowl!

I enjoyed excellent poached egg on toast, and buttered kipper fillets next morning. We both enjoyed ceral, fruit juice and toast, coffee served by friendly staff.

Bedroom a bit tired; now expect a king size bed. Given this was a disabled room it would be very tight for a disabled person with partner

My only “complaint “ is that it was a bit noisy in the evening, from our room it was a noise coming from de roof, but it wasn’t for too long.

This hotel was charming and the style was just a we expected to be for a night out of the city.!

Room very, very small and tiny TV which meant my deaf wife could not read the subtitles. That's it as everything else was excellent.

Amazing setting, very quiet and a lovely walk around the nature reserve. Fantastic staff, very efficient and friendly. Fabulous food, quick service.

The “Nature Reserve” hasn’t been visited by staff in years! The path is muddy, the bridges 1) rotten 2) completely underwater meaning you can’t get to the reserve at all. Muddy paths not a problem if pre-warned. Footpaths nearby better.

    Good choice for breakfast.
