How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The cottage is quite small but adequate if you are heading out each day.
Beautiful peaceful cottage in a quaint village close to the coast. Very clean, well decorated and well looked after. Small garden area to relax when we got home each day. Lovely continental breakfast supplied by the owners, lovely touch.

Very nicely decorated and furnished. In a quiet village close to Chichester and to the harbour area. DIY breakfast provided so we did not have to bring provisions with us. Very friendly welcome from Claire.

We had a wonderful night at The Hen House. The bedding was luxurious, the bed was comfortable and the sofa was comfy for an evening of relaxing. The provided breakfast was a well received addition to the stay. It is a great base for 2-3 nights if you’re exploring locally.

To be honest I really can't think of anything I didn't like, everything was even better than expected\hoped for.
Beautifully finished inside, cosy and modern with exceptional cleanliness and level of finishing. Really thoughtful and quality breakfast hamper waiting for us. Everything felt as if it was brand new - like we were the first guests (we wasn't but it is a mark of what high standards the owners obviously have and adhere to).

Bathroom was a little cramped - in particular sink was tiny and there was no shelving or strobe space for guest toiletries meaning these had to be placed on the floor. The bedroom was a tight space.
Loving room and kitchen facilities and attention to detail in provisioning. Location for the things we wanted to do in the neighbourhood. Beautifully clean

There was nothing that we did not like. It would be good to have some cups to fit the coffee machine rather than using the mugs.
Very good quality of furnishings towels and supplies for breakfast enabling us to chose what and when we ate. Probably one of the nicest places we have stayed.

Main problem would be for anyone wishing to stay for a week or so and wanting to cook meals rather than go out, Full hob is provided and a micro-wave that acts also as small conventional oven and grill. There is no dining table so you are eating informally. If these limitations don't worry you then you should enjoy everything!
An excellent cosy annexe that provides a spacious B&B with facilities for cooking all meals if you wish. An excellent continental breakfast is provided. Locati8on is a pleasant village with easy access to Chichester and South Downs.

Breakfast was a good one, DIY style in own kitchenette. As we were visiting Goodwood FoS, the location was an excellent one. We got good instructions for finding a great dinner place (the Anchor Bleu) as well as late night service for extra linen for making one extra bed to living room's extendable sofa.

Personal preference matress on bed was a bit too hard.
Fabulous place to stay, quiet, lovely breakfast included, easy to find and great location for the town and Goodwood which is the main reason we stayed.

Entrance was a bit difficult to see from road and wasn’t sure we had the right house on arrival.

There is nothing I can mention that is in anyway negative, both my wife and I could not fault it any way, shape or form.
The apartment was first class. We arrived and the keys were in the lock box exactly as promised. The apartment had everything you could wish for. The host, Claire, had though of everything. The lounge was very comfortable and warm with a good size television the bedroom was well laid out with an exceptionally comfortable bed. The bathroom was perfect, even the towels and toiletries were provided. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of tea and coffee, both instant and ground coffee. Breakfast was included in the price and again we were not in any way disappointed. There was cereal, toast, croissant, jams, marmalade, yoghurts, fruit juice and milk. There was even some pistachio nuts and a jar of quality street chocolates. If you find your-self in the area I cannot recommend the this apartment enough. It is a great place to stay, its well worth the money and the location is perfect. On the booking form I even asked for good weather and Claire was able to arrange that as well.

There was not much to dislike. However, the bed could have been a little better. We tended to sink into the middle of the mattress when sleeping.
Good location. There was somewhere to keep our bicycles. The hosts recommended some nice pubs and places to eat nearby.
