There wasn't any hot water from the bathroom sink. [I advised reception, this so should be fixed by now.] The electric shower unit is incredibly small. For some reason, they had positioned the hand-held shower unit at the top of the shower meaning anybody under about 5'4 would have difficulty reaching it - needs to be lower :-)

Although a small room, it was comfortable. 2 bottles of water were provided, one still and one sparkling, which was a nice touch.

Internet access was lousy. However hotspot via my mobile was equally poor so I suspect it is general coverage in the area.

Friendly responsive staff Booked early check in because going to wedding but room wasn't prepared in time. However, able to leave luggage in room and check in - and refunded cost of early check in.

Very comfortable room with good amenities. Liked the tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was plentiful, varied and excellent. We also had dinner which was also excellent, lots of choice, nicely presented and delicious.

Walls were paper thin, woken up at 7.00 am by next doors room TV and occupants coughing much of the night.

In room Tea, coffee , milk , biscuits, bottled water not replenished although we were there for 2 nights. Towels were replaced though . No storage area in bathroom for own toiletries

Evening meal wasn't all that great. There were a few items on the menu that interested me but I decided to play it safe and ordered a sirlion steak (medium) with chips, tomato and mushrooms. I received a well done sirlion that even the knife had trouble cutting through and the chips weren't all that great either. Thoughts afterwards were should I have gone for the Fish & Chips or the Pie & Mash. Anyway, I opted not to follow on with desert just in case.

Room was small but I was only staying for one night. The bed was comfortable and the staff were pleasant.

No issues from my point of view.

I was in the small bedroom but I found it big enough for an overnight stay with the required comforts including a reasonably sized en-suite. The food in the property is really good. I had initially planned to eat out but pleased I stayed in to try it out. Breakfast was very good also. Engagement with staff was very warm and welcoming.

only downside was the noise.. we stayed in room 2 next to the fire door from the bar and the front door from the car park and the 1st night I literally had no sleep whatsoever thus totally ruining the next day through lack of sleep.. from 23 hours till dawn there were many people coming and going making lots of noise and doors slamming, the 2nd night was a little better but still very little sleep.. otherwise all good but I would personally recommend staying here but definitely NOT in room 2

Location is good, hotel is lovely, all staff are lovely and very helpful, excellent restaurant and good bar offering some very good beers, spirits and wines.. the rooms are large and extremely clean and easy parking..

Noise! We were kept awake for long periods due to noise from inside the building, in the morning this was mostly from the cleaners as the cleaning cupboard was situated nextdoor to our room.

Building was characterfull staff were nice and breakfast was awesome.

We had 2 rooms (standard doubles) and one of the rooms had a fairly pronounced unpleasant smell of drains. Unfortunately, my partner didn't tell me about it until the morning! But it was even detectable in the corridor outside. We reported it.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Bar food and breakfast was very good. Great value for money overall.

We had booked into their small double room. This should really be a single room. There was only one bedside table with lamp, and barely any room between the bed and the walls. The mattress was very soft, which if you like that is fine. However, we prefer a firmer mattress. Otherwise, it was a lovely room, clean and tidy.

The building is beautiful, a really old thatch building with beautiful grounds. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a full English breakfast, which was really good. There were lots of hot selections and cold continental options laid out on the bar.

I could hear everything that was going on next door, luckily the occupants were quiet but I can imagine if they snored I would have been able to hear them.

Breakfast was excellent, poached eggs with salmon. Room was clean and tidy.
