Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

AustraliaThe pressure in the shower was extremely poor. Barely got wet and was unable to wash my hair. As I didn’t have internet access it was difficult to get information about codes to get in. I was expecting a manned reception but maybe I misread the information.

United KingdomAs above----- Booking.com CHECK your details before you send out confirmation. This property is in a house with locked rooms. It wouldn't suit everyone. The room itself was clean with a lovely view.
As Booking. com - yourselves - gave us the wrong phone number and no code for the room to get in --- was awful. The CORRECT phone number was on the door to the property which enabled us to contact the delightful Emma who went out of her way to help us. Without her and that phone number we would have been stuck.

United KingdomThe door rattled every time the front door opened. The bathroom had privacy glass that worked in the day but was totally useless at night if you had the bathroom light on. Be warned, you will be on show when you shower and use the toilet!!! The room was in the cool side but the heater was quickly effective.
Good location and very clean property. Easy self check in and self check out. Convenient for all Portree had to offer.

GermanyI understand that for just a few rooms, it is not so economical to have a receptionist/ someone doing the checking-in but I find rooms with key safes a bit sad - all communication we received was a boilerplate email, and we had no human contact throughout our stay. Also, parking situation is a bit dire. We were lucky to be out of season and snag the last spot outside the house, but the Pay and Display Car Park is a bit of an uphill walk (10 minutes) and some do not allow overnight parking - we met a guy who'd just received a 100-pound fine for parking overnight. Just something to keep in mind to read the parking rules carefully. Would be good to have some advice on where guests can park overnight without having fines lobbed at them. Communal area (entrance, stairways) are a but grubby, but honestly, for the price, it did not bother me much.
We stayed for one night, booked at short notice, as we had to take an earlier ferry (and very greeted by a gale the next morning). Given that prices in Portree can be sky-high, this guesthouse/ rooms provided excellent value, and was right at the sea front, very picturesque! Our room was large with a view, seemed newly refurbished, with a very comfortable bed, large shower room, nice dining table looking out to the sea! Nothing to fault with the room, at all.

United KingdomI struggled with the key pad at the door when I arrived. I was let in by a group from another room who were already in. No breakfast at the property but nice cafes fairly close by. Couldn't rate the staff as I never saw or spoke to anyone although I was emailed a number to phone which was fair enough.
Lovely clean and spacious room with a stunning view over the harbour. Great location for me as I was working just along the road.

Location is excellent- village of Portree is gorgeous and the locals friendly and helpful. Rooms were very good- modern comfortable furniture, lovely linen and nice and warm.

United KingdomOur main issue was the bathroom window covering in the Harris room, which works fine during the day but at night you can see into the bathroom very clearly when the lights are on. As there are lots of people walking past the property and the toilet is directly in front of the window, this is a problem. We had to create a cover using cushions and towels. The bathroom really needs a blind.
Brilliant location and parking outside the property was not a problem during our visit at the end of October. It was clean and comfortable.

United KingdomNo breakfast was included in a £160 per night guest house. The shower was awful. Either too hot(scalding) or too cold plus the pressure was very low. There was a kettle in the room but nowhere to plug it in on the guest table. No-one was there to meet us. Only a coded door & lock box for the key. As we stayed 4 nights, a small fridge would've been good.
The location offered fantastic views of the bay. The room was clean & comfortable.
