I booked for four nights stay .first day room was serviced .nexted day got back to the room .and wasn’t serviced at all .spoke to the manager he checked my room and emptied the bins and replaced water and teas coffee and biscuits etc. I made my bed .the third day room serviced.fourth day had bad news back home so .didnt sleep the night .Not worried about being charged for four nights .these things happen the lady on duty was really kind to me.thank you

Breakfast was very good.dont normally have a cooked breakfast in hotels.but yours was cooked from fresh so I treated myself.

More light in rhe bathroom

Excellent breakfast and steak in the evening. Lovely airy room comfortable bed. Good linen and towels. Bathroom very dark difficult for shaving and extractor fan not working. Lovely pub staff friendly and helpful.

dinner: good choice well presented food, the young lady that looked after us was very polite and helpful after dinner drinks. good selection of wines spirits and cocktails. Our room was very comfortable and clean, hairdryer and iron provided.

We brought our own pillows after last time as they were so hard and lumpy. Getting woken up at 0815 Sunday by the music on the speaker on the outside wall. We had issues with the music last time we stayed as the speaker was almost under our room.

Check in was great and contact throughout with the booking and our late arrival was excellent. The food deserves particular mention as it was exceptional , as were the staff. The whole experience was fantastic , I would not hesitate to return or recommend to others

I like this place but on this occasion the room was quite noisy as it was above the toilets and I could hear the hand drier every time it went off. The weather was very stormy and I could hear a canopy outside flapping against the building and there was a power cut from 2130 to 0533 which meant I had no heating in the room. No fault of the hotel of course.

The food in the restaurant is very good.

The bedside lights in the room wouldn’t work.

Lovely friendly staff, stylish room with lots of nice touches but still incredibly practical. Small touches in the room were very thoughtful eg radio, magazines, biscuits and hot drinks with a very funky kettle! Food at dinner and breakfast was also amazing. Would stay again!

Not a buffet breakfast, (we just incorrectly assumed it would be ) but what we had was very well prepared. Paying for every cup of coffee was a bit unexpected, though it was lovely.

Evening meal and lunch were really superb. All staff were very efficient and helpful. Ambiance of the restaurant area was perfect. Our room was very clean with plenty of tea and coffee. We would definitely recommend to others.

Could use a second chair in the room. The stairs were vert steep for my disabled wife an no lift.

When we usually stay/dine out at this time of the year for a birthday celebration, pubs/restaurants/hotels can be quiet before the run up to Christmas has got under way. But possibly as this year we celebrated on a Sunday the pub/restaurant was very busy, very lively and very different from our usual experience. It was great.

Dinner was served quickly and efficiently. We had starters, mains & pudding. All of a high standard in quality and menu choices. One pudding of ice cream was rather melted but good.

If I had to pick a fault It would be the tap on the shower as it was hard to position it to get a good temperature Apart from that the shower was clean and powerful
