Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Irelanda little bit worn out could do with a facelift but don’t get me wrong very good value for money,staff were rushed off their feet so service was very slow just to get basics drinks etc but staff couldn’t apologise enough would come back.

United KingdomThe mattress protector was dirty which given the Covid situation was very unwelcome. I did tell reception in the morning and was asked to email which I have done but haven’t received any reply which Is disappointing.
Great position of Hotel Car Park wasn’t far away and the Hotel paid for that. The room wasn’t ready as we were early but they gave us an alternative room which helped as we were going to a wedding.

United KingdomNot all lifts were working and the one that was was for ascending only. Ok if you are able to manage stairs coming down - fortunately we were only on the first floor. The carpet in our room was wet, which we reported on the first morning. Not sure if this was addressed though, as walking across the room without shoes still meant wet socks. Not sure if this was down to the set up in the bathroom, as you stepped up into the shower but there was nothing to stop water from escaping onto the bathroom floor while in there. We also found that one side of one the curtains was hanging off the rail (which we could do nothing about due to the height of the window) and the hairdryer didn’t work. Unfortunately I forgot to point these out to the staff.
Plenty of space so social distancing was easy. Dining room/restaurant accommodated this well too. Reception was a little cramped but fortunately we arrived early evening so not many about. Staff were able to find dairy free ‘butter’ for me at breakfast (but for some reason not at dinner🤔), and we’re happy to check on ingredients in dishes to allow for my intolerance.

United KingdomI imagine once it would have been a beautiful hotel, however it needs a lot of work. We had to change rooms because the air con was incredibly noisy and old. It also smelt a bit damp.
The rooms were spacious, staff were very friendly and it was in a great location.

Rooms are comfy (Bed kinda firm) and super quiet (even with the window open). Large desk fan provided in room instead of AC worked well. Staff on reception were lovely and super helpful. Water provided in an in room fridge.

United KingdomIt was our wedding anniversary and our daughter had phoned ahead and booked chocolates and champagne to be in our room on arrival. When we got to our room there was a plate on the bed with a few chocolates and a happy anniversary message, we phoned our daughter to thank her for the chocolates but she said there should be champagne there as well, we were about to go down for dinner so we spoke to a guy at reception and he said the bottle should be in the fridge and to check when we went back to the room. The champagne was in the fridge but the fridge didn’t work and there were no glasses to be able to drink it. When ordering a gift like this for a guest the champagne should be in an ice bucket with the chocolates and champagne flutes beside it. How were we supposed to know there was a bottle in the broken fridge? A suggestion for the future, if a guest is receiving a gift make it look special.
Our room on the first night was not good with people constantly walking around in the room above, we spoke to Andy the next morning and got the room changed with no problem.

United KingdomThe noise outside was horrendous we couldn't close the windows as it was so hot in the rooms . Only had 3 hours sleep 💤. Seaguls were so noisy and people coming past from the pubs .
The hotel was fantastic. Checking in brilliant we arrived abit earlier and they let us into our room . Food staff were fantastic too as were the cleaners . We probably would stay there again if the noise wasn't so bad at night but we were at the front of the hotel so maybe the back is different.

United KingdomA few things unfortunately. The room wasn’t the tidiest/cleanest. We had a problem opening the balcony door and had to get security to open it. Cobwebs on the ceiling of the room, that had obviously been there for quite a while. There was obviously someone with confetti balloons in before us and the confetti was everywhere. However, the worst part was we were due to leave the hotel at 4 in the morning and trying to get a few hours sleep, however, the room across from us had a balcony also that was directly onto ours. They were partying most of the night. When we complained we were offered a free coffee as we hadn’t slept and that was it. We had complained a good few times and security went to talk to them but nothing changed. If anything they got exceptionally louder as if to annoy us more. The photos on the website are definitely dated. The residents bar closed randomly during the day. And didn’t serve food until set times - even though ‘bar and restaurant’ was advertised. It closed at around 10pm. The phone in the room didn’t work so to ring reception we had to use our own phones. The security guard then told us when we were leaving that the hotel was closing the week after so they didn’t really care. Which in my eyes was ridiculous. Every customer should receive the same treatment especially after paying extra to upgrade the room etc. Overall extremely disappointed

United KingdomWhen we woke up in the morning there was a foul smell coming from the drains in the bathroom. It was that bad we had to close the door and have a wash in the kitchen sink.
The rooms were big and comfortable with good access to the City's bars and restaurants.
