Great place to stay if you want to take your dog away with you for the weekend. The staff are very dog friendly. 🙂 However, breakfast would have been far more enjoyable without the constant barking!

Bathroom newly renovated and very clean. The shower was powerful and hot. Crisp white bed linen and fluffy white towels were very nice. Coffee sachets and individually wrapped teabags with small clean kettle and clean white mugs were welcome after our long journey to the property. Breakfast was nicely cooked and plenty of freshly filtered coffee The Lodge looked generally a little tired, but that's how I expected it to be considering the price. The breakfast had to be chosen the night before, which was a little strange, but acceptable in order to cut down on waste.

It's an older building and a bit old fashioned but nice and clean.

The lady managing this place is full of character, she puts a lot of effort into the breakfasts and is really friendly with guests. She loved my dog and even gave her a sausage or three!

Unfortunately the TV reception was poor on some channels and the bed matress wasn't as comfy as it could have been. The veggie sausage for breakfast wasn't to my liking.

The room was very clean, it wasn't advertised as en ensuite although it was. The staff were friendly, there was lots of choice of breakfast and my order was taken upon check-in. There was plenty of milk and extra tea bags for my room. . It was perfectly located for me right by the SW coast path. It was peaceful and quiet at night. I would stay again if in the area. The fresh fruit salad at breakfast was simply the best I have ever had in a hotel/guest house!

Well located for the town with excellent clifftop walks right on the doorstep . Room bright and clean and extremely good breakfast included with great choice . Free parking on site at rear , maybe not enough if busy but fine for our stay .

Great location - Illfracombe only a ten minute walk away. Room was small but adequate for our needs.

Room was on top floor which was difficult for me with current injuries/arthritis flare. This was my own fault for not checking.

Really friendly owner who went out of way to look after everyone. Breakfast was great with the sweet extra Bowl of sausages and bacon put out for the dog every morning.

The twin room was on the top floor, and with no lift

The breakfast was superb didn’t need to eat again until the evening. The bed was extremely comfortable ,the bathroom was very good with ample hot water. We had a fridge on the landing outside our room where we were able to collect milk, sugar, binliners whenever needed.

Only a couple of minor points... A mini fridge in the room would be one thing that would be great, and as we found in some other places, a lockable safe is a nice to have as well. Apart from that, we loved it.

A friendly welcome and a decent sized car park. The room we had was very comfortable and clean, with plenty of coffee, tea's and milks to keep us going. Having a big bath was nice as I am large chap and can't often find one to stretch out in. Breakfast was the absolute highlight, and we both thought it was one of the best we had in a long time. We filled in the order form the night before, and everything requested was there waiting for us when we went down in the morning. The eggs were perfect (both fried and poached) as well as all the accompanimients (bacon, sausage,hash browns, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, etc)...did I mention I was a large chap 😃 Enjoyable stay 👍
