No pavements on the A44 and very wet verges so tricky setting of for walks.

The twin beds were very creaky and disturbed sleep every time you moved. The dining room was lovely but the table had been lifted up on castors and it was too high for the chairs making it uncomfortable to eat at.

We loved the house, the decor, the views and the cafe.

Location of property and views are fantastic. Hosts cannot do enough for you. The accommodation is beautiful, so clean and comfortable, like home from home. Food at the accommodation is outstanding, I would highly recommend. Everything about this property is exceptional including the staff.

Everything seems to be quite high quality & I have no criticisms but if I was to change 1 thing, it would be to update the bath towels as they were a bit thin & old.

Rustic charm, romantic and peaceful. The property has a beautiful aesthetic & is very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen & the ‘care package’ given was good quality food perfect for supper. The owner who greeted me was friendly & immediately knew my name which was nice.

Rather hot and dry at night; thin walls to other apartment. Change of towels and sheets for 6 nights should be a matter of course. Not enough towels, t towels, bath mat. However staff were very responsive and helpful regarding these matters.

Could do with some improvements - larger beds. The rooms are shouting out for kings. For someone who is over 6ft.not ideal. Extra bedding would be nice. Also make sure you book the cafe we arrived on Sunday and they were fully booked with no priority for people who stay. Would advise that when check in details are sent you request that bookings are made for the cafe to avoid disappointment. Was absolutely gutted as we had done a 4 hour trip to then travel 30mins to get food.

Nearly everything - some tweaks and this place would be amazing.

For our 2-bed cottage I would have much preferred a super king or king bed in the master bedroom.

Fantastic property. The rooms are all large and comfortable. The interior decor was lovely. Well maintained and perfectly clean. Thoughtful touches inside the cottage. Well equipped kitchen. Good quality bed linen. We enjoyed the food and friendly service at the on-site cafe. The owners were friendly and hospitable and happy to share their experiences of renovating their new pub, which will open soon and looks fantastic. My children loved playing with the owners’ 2 dogs.

Stairs to bed level (2nd floor) were steep and hard-not for the frail but we managed to get doen to the loo in the night without damage. The shower spread was narrow so it was quite hard to get yourself wet and the towels were too small and too thin for such a great place. A proper full sized kitchen bin would also have been great. The welcome when we popped our heads inside the restaurant (on discovering it) was not as warm as the initial welcome but they were busy. We still give it 9 stars because it has been so wonderfully renovated and we would recommend it to anyone not put off by the stairs.

Fabulous refit of old barn buildings. Someone has laboured over it with love. They actually have a restaurant/coffee bar that looked lovely. Loved the two friendly dogs lolloping in the courtyard. Really well equipped. Comfortable sleep. Very warm welcome when we arrived and they . brought us a mixing jug when we asked for it. Great friendly service.

Partly I don't want to say too much so that I can keep this place to myself! Mark and Laura and their team have created a very special place here. A combination of rustic (and old) charm and modern conveniences. The units/chalets are spacious, thoughtfully, amply and tastefully equipped and furnished. Mark and Laura are cheerful and accommodating hosts. The team at the Cattle Shed (on site) provide spectacular breakfasts and dinners. The cows check in on you, the views are lovely, the place peaceful... We will certainly be back.

Kitchen could be a little better equipped. It would be useful to have things like some larger bowls for mixing or preparing food (especially for a unit which hosts six people), and cleaning implements for washing up (e.g. a washing up brush as opposed to just one small cloth). More utensils would also be great.

Beautiful building and interior with loads of space. So convenient to have a cafe on-site, and the guys who run the place were extremely friendly - even letting us in when we'd locked ourselves out quite late at night!

A bit more attention to detail - such as a couple of the chairs were broken. shabby chic is one thing but it wasn't possible to sit in these. Also for such a carefully decorated place that in some ways was luxurious, there weren't any big bath towels & the ones we had were torn. It would've been nice to be able to get breakfasts in the acfe every day - its not open Sunday morning. None of this spoiled our stay though!

Beautiful location. Exceptionally clean. Nice friendly people & lovely dogs. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. It is a special place.
