The room was a little small. The bathroom in particular was a bit cramped.

Breakfast was exceptional. Ali is a great chef and produced different specials every day as well as extra delicious treats. The hosts were very welcoming and Bill gave helpful advice about the town, the restaurants and things to do, and helped with parking.

Our Easter break by the coast led us to Weymouth, a town renowned for its pristine beaches. In search of accommodation, we stumbled upon The View on the Terrace, a bed and breakfast that boasted rave reviews and charming seaside proximity, all within our budget. Welcomed by a delightful couple, we were ushered into a clean and inviting room, complete with a shower and a welcoming treat—a soft and decadent brownie. Located a mere 20 meters from the beach, the gentle sound of waves served as a lullaby, while mornings greeted us with sunlight dancing on the water, accompanied by the serene passage of sailboats. Breakfast at The View on the Terrace was nothing short of extraordinary. Promptly at 8:30 am, we were greeted by Bill, one of the co-owners, who guided us through the morning’s offerings, including the menu, specials, and local attractions. The homemade granola was a revelation, boasting a perfect balance of crunch, fruit, and nuts that left us yearning for more. A refreshing sorbet followed, tantalizing our taste buds with its unexpected flavors—on our visit, a delightful pear and grape concoction. Opting for the croissant proved to be a culinary adventure in itself—soft, flaky, and infused with just the right amount of sweetness and buttery goodness. Paired with the accompanying butter and jam, alongside a generous serving of expertly brewed filter coffee, each bite transported us to gastronomic bliss. For mains, we savored dishes both from the menu and the day’s specials. From the hearty “Full View” breakfast, featuring bacon, poached eggs, herbed sausage, tomatoes, and mushrooms, to the exquisite siracha hollandaise poached eggs, every dish left us licking our plates in satisfaction. Beyond the exceptional cuisine, it was the warmth and hospitality of the owners, Ali and Bill, that truly made our stay memorable. Their genuine care and friendliness added an extra layer of charm to our experience.

The bed was super comfortable and big, views were amazing, property is clean and well decorated. The hosts made you feel special and are clearly passionate about their business and Weymouth. Food is next level! Always good for the specials and try the black pudding. Also if Bill or Ali recommend a place for whatever, do it!

Idyllically located overlooking the bay and beach promenade. Just a short walk to the town's quayside, shops and restaurants. An individually designed b&b own and managed by Bill & Ali the perfect hosts. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome with homemade treats. The room was well designed and featured crisp white sheets with quirky decor (we were in the beetle room). The morning breakfast overlooking the bay was perfect - with homemade granola and a delicious home cooked breakfast. We left, well looked after and looking forward to our next trip, with a little home made treat for our journey too. Highly recommended.

The hosts of this property Ali and Bill went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable.The breakfasts were amazing, with a daily special.Great selection and morning sorbet was an interesting and amazing touch. Rooms were super clean and dietary requirements were accommodated. Added bonus was the daily treat of a home baked small sweet treat. The extra touches made it feel special. Views are amazing over the ocean and literally under a minutes walk to the beach. 5 star service. Incredible hosts who offer a 5 star service. Highly recommend.

Fantastic location, with great owners, room with a view, fresh milk and baked gifts. Surprisingly quiet with just the sound of the waves to go to sleep with. What’s not to like.

Fabulous owners very friendly and informative. Breakfast was an absolute treat, lots of individual touches. There were freshly baked cakes in our room each day and a small treat to leave with. Our room was spotless and the bed was comfy. We'll visit again. Thanks Ali and Bill x

Breakfast was high quality and well sourced - they had really thought about it. Little extras like REAL milk with you tea/coffee in you room plus a little homemade treat everyday! Hosts had great personality Stayed in the top room - Rhino which was very spacious and a bed I wish I could take home with me A 3 course breakfast cooked by Ali who has a diploma in food and wine which very much shows in the food , we got much more than expected from a BnB , definitely has the boutique and luxury part . Bill has great memory and service skills , always asking how our day was from yesterday . All the restaurant recommendations were on point.

There were absolutely no areas of concern. A lovely stay.

Outstanding breakfast and special (very special) dishes offered daily. The location was fine and convenient for all we wanted to do. Spotlessly clean premises. The hosts, Ali and Bill, were genuine and welcoming, eager to help at all times and as for the catering, Ali certainly excels in all aspects. The only drawback is that we can only score 10/10 - it deserves more. A Special Place and run by Special People

This a fabulous guest house with most friendly and welcoming hosts. Ali is a trained chef and the breakfasts were honestly the best I've ever had in a B&B and better than most top-rated hotels - she takes real pride in her ingredients and everything is cooked to perfection. The sweet little extras left in the room were very welcome as well. Great views from the Rhino room (the Stag room looked great as well), comfy bed and everything immaculately clean. Highly recommended

The View on the terrace was delightful. Perfect location on the seafront and beautiful, recently decorated, room with a bay window overlooking the sea. Although we didn't use it there was a coffee maker in the room along with fresh milk, tea and home made delicious brownies. Breakfast was fabulous and very generous. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend.

Never been to weymouth before and couldn't of wished for a lovelier place to stay than the view on the terrace.Ali and Bill were fantastic hosts and the breakfast was amazing .And the little treats in our room were very thoughtful plus a bottle of bubbly for our anniversary.
