We couldn't have a shower. The water couldn't transfer to the shower head. I think something was missing from the tap.

Great location. Really short walk to Harrogate centre. There is a bus just outside the hotel for those who need it. Has a lift. Lovely entrance and seating area. Beautiful period features

Very dated Car park was full so was directed to the rear of the building, however there were very large holes in the road and my car hit the ground. My car isn’t a ‘low to the ground’ type car. As it is electric I am praying there is no damage to the battery. The bar seemed to close very early

Although the beds, towels and bathroom were very clean the actual rooms need a little modernising. The cobwebs do need to be cleaned from the ceiling and under the bed needs hoovering and behind the fireplace

Only watm water in shower. Kettle didn't reach the plug. Hair dryer only blew cold.

Friendly staff. Loved the old style hotel. In character for Harrogate. Location was excellent. Bus stop across the road. Nice restraints within walking distance.

General decor was dated, but nothing to take away from the overall accommodation.

Lovely old building with quaint old fashioned values! Staff were friendly. Room was perfectly adequate for my needs (I got a twin room for some reason, but hey) with the added bonus of a bath tub as well as shower. Very good price for a 2 night Thursday /Friday stay in Harrogate.

I used the hair dryer provided in the room and it set off the fire alarm. It is a hotel used for functions so was a little noisy. The hotel did offer a "quiet" room once checked in via a poster in the lift, but we arrived late in the afternoon and didn't see the sign until much later in the night.

Very friendly staff, free parking, great location, great price. Although there were a couple of issues, I would still recommend based on the cleanliness, the staff and the location.

room cold to start with and took a long time to get hot water running. Staff were great, but felt sorry for them at breakfast when woman in charge kept telling staff off and she never smiled once at them Bedroom carpet was worn.

Bedroom very clean and comfy. Breakfast was good with a variety of foods, and service good. We were given a nice room heater when we said how cold the room was.

Staff are efficient but a bit impersonal. TV was small and old fashioned, some of the hotel is getting tired. Room was on the small side.

Reasonable value, decent breakfast, parking is free, beware the insidious, expensive parking charges that some Harrogate hotels spring on you. Walking distance of the town centre.

Room temperature (126) volcano setting, unable to turn it down, couldn't sleep due to. The hotel advertise £5 off pre-booked evening meal, which I did. Then had to argue to get that and asked did "I mention that to reception" well that would be difficult as didn't know about it until saw notice on dining room door and it isn't my job as a guest to know your discount policy. Really spoilt my final evening especially as even with £5 off food was very over priced.
