Bike storage on hotel info but was actually just a bike rack outside reception. No good for our expensive bikes. This should be changed in the hotel description or secure storage provided. Luckily, we were able to keep them in the room.

The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Great choice of cooked breakfast in addition to cerials, fruit, croissants, toast, etc, and unlimited tea and coffee all served by the lovely Elizabeth. Staff even lent us a bucket (to wash our bikes) and plates to eat our own snacks in the room. The gym and pool were an added bonus and better than expected. The room was lovely. Large and clean and included a fridge, plenty of storage, and a seating area with a table. There were some signs of wear and tear in the room as you would expect but not detrimental to use. The decor has had negative reviews. No, it isn't a sleek modern hotel - this can be found at more than twice the price elsewhere in the lakes. It is a little dated, but this is in keeping with the lovely rural surroundings that you come to the lakes for. We'll be back next year!

Enjoyed are over night stay at this hotel was great valve for money. Room was a upgrade and very nice and warm, both of us went in the private pool which great and so was the evening meal and the breakfast we have just booked again for February.

The water came on and was ok for about a minute but then it kept pulsing like there was a broken pump. Forgot to mention that to reception.

The location was great. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were all brilliant. Breakfast was nice and lots of choice. Great for us and our dog.

The coffee at breakfast and in the room didn't taste good. Lots of stairs to get to the family room. No electric car charging points

Well, one of the reasons I booked this hotel was wifi. However, in our room, it was nonexistent. Reported first night hoping to have for the second night. However, nothing was done. So, emails I had to do i had to go up near reception. Disappointing. Breakfast was ok disappointing if i had paid the 16 pound qouted. Disappointing.

Staff friendly, food on a night was good from the bar , gym OK pool and hot tub and other facilities great.

pool, suana, steam room usage. breakfast was okay, owuldve liked more cooked options but it was satifactory dinner was in the restaurent and was very nice. only a small menu but enough options for a nice weekend away.

Only minor niggle was being above the bar and the music being turned on at 7am, it wasn't super loud but enought to wake me. The decor is a little bit tired but to be honest it just made me think of visiting my Gran and if you are in the Lake District staying inside looking at the decorating you should probably look out of a window.

The room was nice, spacious and comfy. The staff were helpful and friendly. The bathroom was clean and tidy with a nice powerful shower and the room was constantly at a comfortable temperature.

The food and drinks at the bar were really expensive and very average. The Sauvignon Blanc was actually really not nice and my partner ordered a very average cheeseburger which cost nearly £18. Yikes.

Ideal location for hiking up to Skiddaw. 15 mins from Keswick. Room was big and staff were friendly.

Although The Tavern Restaurant was nice I found the service poor. My grand children didn't get their meal on our second night even though we ordered with ours and by the time they got it they were passed caring and we were long finished Brought this up on paying and was told by the bar staff they would give a discount - £3 of a £110 pound bill. POOR!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nowhere else to eat nearby so feels like they can do what they want and charge what they like!

The hotel was lovely. Quiet and in a really lovely location near to Keswick. The room was lovely and the bed was really comfortable, a bit of a welcome surprise 😲. The pool was great and myself and my family made good use of it whilst we were there.

Evening dinner is awful! It is obvious that evening dinner is supplied as an expectation and not as something that the hotel is wanting or promoting it is doing. The menu was basic but ok. The food quality was the cheapest and was cooked to the minimum requirements. This is the second stay at the hotel and dinner was not good the first visit, but we were tired after a days walking so decided to try again and it was actually awful this time.

Breakfast was average and as you would expect at a mid-range hotel. The staff were very hard working, diligent and we noticed working very long hours. They were all very helpful, polite and smiling when under pressure.
