Excellent location just on the outskirts of the historic city center, nestled in a peaceful neighborhood. While rooms are compact, they exude a snug charm. The pub offers a welcoming ambiance to unwind with either a glass of wine or a refreshing pint.

The room we booked wasn’t available so had a smaller room up a significant number of stairs which had a howling gale coming through the window

Welcoming well positioned very well presented

The complimentary toiletries did not include shower gel. Loo paper a bit thin!

Location excellent as I was visiting a friend who lives in the adjoining street. Breakfast and evening meal were also excellent. Staff also friendly and helpful.

The family room was shabby, the bathroom was tired with a dirty shower curtain. The paint was peeling from the bath panel and the extractor fan was dirty. The skirtings were dirty. The service was ok, but told to go to bed and not particularly friendly.

Location amazing and pub itself it’s excellent. The breakfast was superb as was the service at breakfast.

The room was a little too warm, and I couldn't figure out how to change the temperature.

The room was comfortable and cosy, the staff accommodating and the free breakfast exceptional! It was also central enough to get anywhere on foot but not overcrowded or noisy.

Sadly the room we booked had an issue with the roof. We were provided with an alternative room but was smaller and had fewer facilities. The manager gave us a generous discount for the inconvenience a nd as recognition that we are frequent visitors. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

Although basically provisioned the room needs a good deep clean. There was a level of dust around the skirting that should not be seen in any hotel room. Also the shower water is pathetic. Impossible to have a decent shower at all.

Bar shut quite early for us. Shame the open fire wasn't kept going during the evening.

Location of Millers Arms great for looking around Canterbury center and for travelling in further afield. Parking a real bonus. Location of room good for view; nice room, clean and cozy. Food was good. Staff were very keen to please and accommodate guests.

It's a shame that the water in the shower was lukewarm and the heating did not turn on in the shower.

The room was nice however when I booked the room the description said we will have a bathroom, but upon arrival we got a shower. It was quite tiny, no shelves in the cabin, and very weak water stream. Furthermore there was a plumbing issue as well - the toilet does not flushes well, even a paper tissue was difficult to flush down, unless you did not wait 5mins til the tank filled up.

Nice atmosphered inn - it feels like a time capsule

A decent option for seeing the sights in Canterbury
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple
    • Classic Double Room
    • Stayed 2 nights

The room was somewhat cramped; the shower was hot but the water flow was weak and yet still tended to run onto the bathroom floor; the sink was broken so you couldn't run a bowl of water for washing or shaving. The advertised hairdryer was missing when we arrived but we were given a new one after we'd asked (a couple of times). Breakfast was not efficient as everything has to be brought to your table - glass of orange juice, tea/coffee, main order, toast with butter and jams - but the absence of any serve-yourself facilities led to a lot of waiting.

This is a decent pub with rooms above. It's a 2-minute walk to the centre of Canterbury and while it has no car park of its own, there is a public car park across the road (expensive but the pub arranges 24-hour parking for £12). Breakfast options were very good - they included avocado + egg or smoked salmon + egg on sourdough toast.

People using the room next to ours was very noisy and kept going in and out, think it was a store room Bathroom mirror light didn’t work A lot of noise coming from pub garden Could hear some sort of pump that woke us up at 5.30 Room was very cold in the morning bathroom radiator came on but not the bedroom one until much later Breakfast was disappointing, very small portion of beans, eggs were hard sausages were undercooked

Room size was good Good location

Breakfast! The skimpiest breakfast we had ever been offered in a hotel. No cereal , toast or fruit . I had an omelette which was simply an omelette on a plate with coffee and a glass of orange juice (no choice)

Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent position. Quiet and comfortable room with a very comfortable bed and view over the river. We would definitely use again.E
