How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The only downside has nothing to do with the apartment, but with having to drag heavy suitcases up a very long flight of stairs to get to Denny St. Should've got a taxi. 😏
A well equipped apartment; washing machine, dishwasher, many TV channels but also the little things like lots of tea bags, salt, pepper and so on. And beautifully and tastefully decorated. ❤ Only a short distance from Inverness train station.

We loved this apartment. Two of us stayed two nights. There are a number of stairs just inside the door to get up into the apartment. There is a full kitchen (small refrigerator), separate living room, and spacious bedroom. We utilized the washing machine in the bathroom. The location is very close and easily walkable to the Inverness action. Both evenings we returned late and felt safe walking back to the apartment. The street is centrally located to get out to Culloden and Loch Ness. We had a car and used the free parking permit. The street parking gets crowded so we were happy to secure our spot. We highly recommend this property.

The space was lovely and had many extras. The owners were easy to get in touch with and responsive. The location was great for us because we were traveling by train and could walk with our packs to get there in minutes. When we had an issue with the shower, the owners came and remedied it in a timely fashion.

I just want to thank the host for allowing us to stay at such beautiful apartment. The host was very thoughtful from answering our questions when we needed help while staying, as well, providing a little essential/treatbox upon arrival. The apartment was very cleaned and maintained. The location was perfect to allows us to explore Inverness and surrounding towns as transports are very accessible. Although the apartment is in ghe city centre, we enjoyed how quiet it was. The only downside was the internet which we couldn’t connect but didn’t bother us at all. Overall, lovely accommodation.

Maybe a coffee machine would be nice but it's really the only thing we noticed could be improved, otherwise a fantastic apartment to stay in - definitely can recommend.
Great stay! Was even better in person than in the pictures. Very complete apartment with a nice kitchen, comfy bedroom, and a sitting room. I could see someone staying here for an extended period of time. It's in close proximity to the center and from the train station so we could go to shops and restaurants easily. Quiet street so it was nice to rest there at the end of the day.

The internet was really slow I don’t like using central heating so much, I’d have loved a blanket on the sofa instead 😊

There was literally nothing we could fault .
The location was great , very quiet , central , beautiful part of town . The flat had everything you would want . Fantastic facilities , the kitchen was very well equipped . the bathroom was warm and clean ,and the shower was great .Beauiful interior . The bed was very comfortable , perfect temperature in the flat .

The location in a quiet residential area with easy parking right at the door. Short walk (maybe 4 blocks) to the city center & river. A washing machine in the apartment was a plus.

we loved everything in the apartment! really cute decor. huge bed. powerful shower. smart TV. came with complementary biscuits etc. very clean. great location only a 5 minute walk from centre but was still really quiet so slept great. host was attentive. would definitely recommend.
