Put a hold on my card, even though it’s a debit card - booking said payment would be taken at check-in , which it was, I had to present my card even though it was against the booking. I’ve no problem with that but looks as if ‘hold’ on my card is going to go for the full 30 days.

Although there was squeezy hand soap/shampoo in a bottle screwed to the wall. It would have been useful if there was an additional bar of soap on the side to have a bath with. Couldn't reach the bottled soap from sitting position in the bath. Parking was a bit pricey at £15..when in fact you've paid for a room for the night! I also ordered a Taxi the night before..it didn't show up.

Great big comfy bed with pristine bedding. Fabulous view of the planes taking off from the runway! Useful extras like Irin/ironing board & hairdryer.

Just stay for one night in transit via Heathrow terminal 5. The availability of the Pods to travel to and from Terminal 5 was very convenient. Checking in and out was quick and effortless. The room had all the basic requirements and was comfortable.

So the bed did'nt meet my expectations it was more like a quarter of a double bed. The room was cold and the air con kept blowing cold air even when i turned up the temperature to 25... They maintenace work going on really looked bad there was no where to sit in the lounge

I liked the friendliness of the staff, the shower was v clean and hot good pressure. I was glad to find all the facilities i.e hairdryer, iron ( this was so important as i had come for B A assesment day ) . The breakfast was delicious and hot and lots of it.

On my second stay, the bathroom was quite a bit smaller than the bathroom in the first room, and nowhere to hang a towel. I also found a tear in my duvet cover on the second stay.

The location to Heathrow terminal 5 is excellent for your onwards flights. I stayed here twice once before my outward flight and again on my return. The bar and restaurants are spacious and fairly priced for a hotel bar. I also loved being able to sit and watch the planes take off from the bar/restaurant area. The staff were helpful and friendly, which is always great. There is also lots of selection at breakfast of both hot and cold food foods and a selection of beverages. I also want to add that the room air con is excellent in the rooms, its a bug bear of mine that hotel rooms air con is usually terrible and the rooms tend to be too hot, but this is not the case at the Thistle. The pods too and from the terminal are great and allow easy access back to London via the tube and train. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and would absolutely stay here again when flying from Terminal 5.

Expensive bar and restaurant. Convenient pod transportation over priced - should be baked into the room price. A taxi would be cheaper. No elevators and access to rooms require dragging your bags up and down stairs negotiating the great British fire door maze.

Very convenient access to Terminal 5 via the ever more expensive pods. Room had good tea service.

Room furniture old and tired. Restaurant automatically add 12.5% service charge to bill, in addition to a line to add a tip. This looks like a charge and nothing is said about it but upon asking, it turns out this is basically a tip which is added by default (in addition to provision for adding a tip) and it is voluntary and can be removed. Quite a sneaky, unscrupulous business practice - I imagine the majority just pay the bill without checking and also then leave a second tip, without realising one has already been taken without their knowledge.

slightly expensive and the transportation to the main city is very expensive. Also, tourists need to be given more information about the options and prices of the various transport systems.

Breakfast was really good, but the bed was uncomfortable. The view of the room was good and the Pod to the terminal was excellent. Th Pod car journey was one of the unique experiences of this Hotel.
