The room was quite small - bijou! No chair to sit on or put clothes on at the end of the day, no real space to put wash items in the bathroom The TV is mounted quite high on the wall so we had neck ache as a result

The hotel is in a really quiet area of town so very peaceful. The beds were very comfortable & made up each day the shower was lovely with plenty of lovely towels Breakfast - good choice, cooked breakfast was great with plenty of toast & teas & coffee cereals & orange were available Staff were polite & helpful

The only downside is the hotel has no parking , you have to park up the hill although the car park itself was very reasonable.

Very central with shops and eateries within 5 mins. Easy access to the beach and walks. Staff were friendly and helpful with an exceptional variety at breakfast.

Rooms were excellent, although there was no en suite for our friends, also as my husband and I are a bit on the larger side the double bed was a bit small for us.

Parking was the only downside as no parking on the premises and no free parking but it wasn’t a problem for us

Our room was just enough for what we needed. Nice and clean. The breakfast was very good with enough choice to vary it day to day. The sitting room was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful and polite. Can't wait to come back for another stay.

There wasn't really anything I didn't like, I guess it was just a shame we had to go home at the end of our stay! If I had to mention the only negative it wasn't actually from the hotel itself, but the fact that the local eateries only seemed to open mid week/Thursdays onwards, but again, this is not a fault of the hotel!

Loved the view and the warm welcome, especially from the dog who was almost always there waiting for a quick catch up. Location placement was great - you literally had the train station just round the corner (but never heard a thing unless you were outside!) You also practically stepped straight out onto the promenade, which was great. The best part of the stay were the beds - I have never slept so comfortably!

Excellent breakfast. Very helpful and welcoming staff. Very comfortable room & en-suit bathroom. Situated right on the sea front in a prominent position for walks & beach fun.

Sandy the proprietor met us and gave a warm welcome. The room was very clean, comfortable and with a sea view. The breakfast was amazing, so well cooked and quick to come out. We loved our walks along the seafront before breakfast and again in the evening. Parking at the front was fine, we were able to park from 6pm until 9am free each evening. We will definitely be staying again.

We loved it was so near everything as my husband can’t walk too far,the Thornhill as got lovely decor and very clean, the beds are really comfortable and breakfast was lovely.
