Upon arrival looked bit dated from outside but was a lot better inside

Small issue in bathroom however Carol sorted this very quickly. Shower wasn't over powerful and this could be due to pressure or shower clogged with limescale in some of the holes ( just a guess) i did manage a shower though. Pop up laundry bag to place used towels in would be a nice touch. Instead of placing on floor. Usb sockets by bed for mobiles to charge overnight. Most would use these for alarm. A bit noisy at times. When people came down hall late and maybe some doors could do with some wd40/ oil (squeak). Dogs barking at times not ideal (night).

Very welcoming. Staff pleasant and worked as a team covering various roles. Breakfast - good value. Cooked ,cereals,fruit,prunes,mini pastries,juice and hot drinks. Large room - superior. Iron although not needed this visit. Hairdryer and towels. A hand towel would of been helpful. Would stay again. Price and location good. Canal ride a definite bonus. Yes needs some modernisation however bed comfy, clean, bar good, food and free parking.

Basic hotel but excellent service, very friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. Clean large family room and free parking. Good choice for Breakfast, fresh and well cooked hot options plus continental. Warm plates, hot coffee and choice of non dairy milks. Great value for the price would stay again. Excellent budget family and dog friendly hotel. We would have eaten in the restaurant in the evening but no vegan options (only a tomatoe pizza). Not a problem for us but would have been an opportunity to increased our spend at the hotel. Staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming, everyone we came across had a smile and said hello.

Unfortunately it was noisy , they had a hen gang in , I suggest the hotel don’t patronise hen night as they trashed the toilet downstairs , lovey hotel apart from that .

The hotel is a bit dated and frayed round the edges but ideal for a one night stopover.

Some of the beds are absolutely awful. Decor is terribly dated.

Staff here are great - Karen especially. Some of the beds are very comfortable (we have stayed here a lot).

limited tv channels, shower didn't work but staff came and fixed it for me, heating was noisy, outside was noisy but I slept through it and we had rooms by the river, there seemed to be some sort of heating plant noise near my room (room 23)

It was walkable into Tiverton, we were able to park before we checked in, the staff were very helpful, the rooms were comfortable

The communal areas appeared a bit tired/worn (carpets/walls) Also some guests were smoking outside near to entrances and the smoke was getting into the lobby which was at times quite unpleasant. Not sure why there needed to be a holding charge of £20 for the breakfast and then a refund of the excess....meant I had to check.it had been processed. Light bulb in the room (57) was flickering....a bit irritating

Attending a funeral in town so convenient location with free parking were important. Bed was comfortable with good quality/clean linen. Room facilities were decent. Breakfast was very good, especially for the price.

Is a little dated but that didn't matter. Buffet breakfast was OK. Didn't see point of leaving £20 deposit in addition to paying on arrival

Very helpful staff and large room and bed and bathroom. Very clean. Very good value. Easy to find and close to town centre. Nice views at rear of stream and field. Good selection of drinks (not alcoholic!) and biscuits in room. Would stay agaimn if coming this way.

Felt it could do with a really good clean and update. Daily cleaning spot on but our room needed more. Dirty window frames dirt in chairs. Blown double glazing. Hotel needs attention so staff can concentrate on daily tasks.

It was fine for a short stay. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel has nice big rooms but lots of the rooms look tired and in need of refurbishment. Quite a few doorways and stairways have worn carpets,some with trip hazards. There are very few staff compared with previous years.

We frequently use this hotel when visiting family. Rooms are large and comfortable, especially the bed. Bathroom also good and a good cooked breakfast .The hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Slight noise from heating system disturbed my sleep

Quiet location, comfy large bed. Large size room with friendly, helpful staff. Good shaving mirror. Large carpark. Restaurant and bar onsite, food good value.

It's needs a revamp. Looking very tired. Needs decorating. New flooring Carpets thread bear in places.
