How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The size of the room, the shower and bathroom was very small and not ideal. The soundproofing wasn't great with the room door being at the top of a staircase to access the lower rooms, with everyone passing by talking wasn't ideal.

Not applicable, stayed only one night.
Convenient for Paddington. Very well cared for, as safe in terms of fire risk and mobility as possible without lift, lights came on automatically on stairways. Not luxury but adequate.very helpful staff, ready to assist.

Our shared bathroom wasn't on the same floor which wasn't. very convenient at our age- but they were very clean

Bed could have been comfier Noise and vibrations for the underground (this didn't affect my sleep and I am a light sleeper and we were in a room on the lower ground/ basement level. To avoid the noise/ vibrations maybe book 1st floor and above room.)

The bathroom was very small
location was perfect. I found myself in close proximity to various attractions, shops, and restaurants. Whether I wanted to explore the vibrant city streets or enjoy a night out, everything was conveniently accessible. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. As soon as I entered my room, I was greeted by a spotlessly clean and well-maintained environment. The attention to detail was evident throughout. From the moment I checked in, the staff (Mehdi) made me feel genuinely welcome and valued as a guest. He was always readily available to answer any questions I had and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as pleasant as possible.

The room was quite small therefore difficult to negotiate with the luggage and the central heating was quite warm.
Location was great, staff were friendly and helpful, it was clean and the shower was great.

Well it is good value for staying this accommodation, it was clean and tidy. It's bit small we felt about the common shower room and toilet but that's acceptable level. I would say that's fair and value stay.
Location is very convenient, it is 1 minute walk from Paddington station so you can stay there as a hub for Heathrow airport and the city. Also plenty and variety of restaurants close to the hotel, it was also nice point of this accommodation.

It's a budget hotel in the middle of a big city, so you have to accept some compromises. Bathroom very small and a bit tired.
Very friendly and helpful people and excellent location. Paddington Station a stone's throw away, with plenty of pubs and restaurants even closer, but Norfolk Square itself surprisingly quiet despite the surrounding bustle.

Shower... Kind of the way it was throughout my throughout my 4-week journey through the UK and Barcelona: low water pressure, crazy fixtures, small space, etc. Definitely not unique to Tudor Court.
Friendliness of staff. Instant assistance with luggage. Cleanliness. Comfortable bedding. Safety. Proximity to Paddington Station. Quiet location at Norfolk Gardens. When I turned the corner to the hotel, it suddenly felt very peaceful.
