How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bathroom,bed and sofa tired..Sofa far too low and very uncomfortable..mattress and pillows uncomfortable..shower and sink drain could do with updating..shower cubicle very small..

My husband and I loved everything about Utopia Apartments. The only one to complain was our 15 year old dog Alfie who found the stairs a bit tough
Location was spot on for visits to the beautiful beach at Perranporth and town. Also great base for visiting north Cornwall and the other stunning beaches and towns.

Settee was too low for me to sit on! The bathroom plug did not hold water in the sink, meaning I had to wash my face in the kitchen sink. However, I would stay here again.
Great location for exploring Cornwall. Some very lovely walks from the doorstep. Short walk into town. The apartment had everything I needed.

Occasional noise from time to time but nothing that would put us off from staying again.
Location not too far from the beach, close to all local amenities. Ideal parking space. Good walks surrounding. Heated towel rail in bathroom was a bonus. Droskyn apartment was spacious and clean. Smart tv with Netflix was great for the rainy days. Added extras like tea bags, milk, biscuits and towels were a lovely touch. Would definitely stay again. Mattress was lovely and soft.

We can wholeheartedly say there was nothing we didn't like about our Utopia Appartment.
The property was clean, cosy, warm, light, a great size and had everything we needed for a lovely self catering break. Lou & Paul were so welcoming and said to let them know if there was anything we needed, or if we wanted to know about the area. There was also a folder in the appartment that told us everything we could possibly needed to know about the appartment, our stay and the local area, with lots of contact numbers and addresses for local eateries and amenities and numbers you may need in an emergency. It was like a home from home.

The place was great there was nothing to dislike.
Great location near town, but in a quiet road. Great to have a dog friendly apartment and the owners of the property were lovely and amenable. The apartment was perfect for our needs.

There was a few minor niggly bits with the apartment like a damaged bit of carpet, slight bit of rust/stain on the outside of the fridge and shower not very powerfull, with a slight crack on the wall. As i said very minor things nothing that would stop me from staying again though.
Liked the easy walk into the town and friendly host, on site parking was great, sea views were fantastic, apprtment was a good size and as we were there during winter the apartment was nice and warm. The owners were great even sending a item of clothing we left back to us

Some appliances were a little dated;there was rust on the inside of the microwave and outside of cooker. Shared stairwell could be quite noisy, although we appreciate this is completely down to if your neighbours are respect of noise levels.
Very cosy, home from home type vibes with the basic essentials that you would need to get by. Close walk to the town & beach! A lot of thought had gone into the information booklet 🙂

We did not feel there was anything that could be improved.
The apartment, which sleeps 2, was so comfortable and everything you could possibly need was provided, including an iron and ironing board, if required. The location was brilliant and it was only took a few minutes to walk to the main high street in Perranporth and also the beach. The small Co-Op store, you first come to, has an excellent range of goods, ideal when you are self-catering. The coffee, tea. milk and cookies were very welcome on arrival. The private parking right outside gave you peace of mind that your vehicle was close at hand, as parking is very limited in this area. Would certainly stay here again.
