Views and friendly chatty helpful staff.

Easy to find. Lovely views over the golf course from the dining area. Bit difficult to find staff when you needed them though I appreciate that it was at a very quiet time for the hotel.

No reception desk to welcome you, I had to look around for someone to check me in. No full-length mirror in room. Room was very close to party venue so very noisy.

The room was lovely and clean. Bed was very comfortable I slept very well.

Heating was hit and miss , and downstairs felt very corporate. We know you had a new chef hopefully let him extend the menu.

The views , the cleaning staff where marvellous and made us feel at home, breakfast was perfect everything for every need.

All bedrooms on first floor

IF ONLY there were ground floor bedrooms it would have been a 10 for yhe whole of the review. The wonderful staff carried our bags up the stairs, and down again the next morning. A special thank you to Trina for all her help. My friend and I are disabled, and she was fab. EXCELLENT BREAKFAST AS WELL

Noisy room in morning, large grass cutter was cutting golf course right outside our window well before 7am on the weekend. Noise from adjoining room, I think a member of staff, also came through way too loud. Would happy give a score of 8 or even 9 if it wasn't for the noise, but in my opinion, a good night sleep with no noise trumps all else, and it was too noisy for me, from 6.30am!

Overall a really nice place, just let down for me personally by noise levels in the early morning. Lovely location, nice room, great view, clean, good breakfast, easy to find, easy to get in, good parking.

Couldn't order meal at 5pm as kitchen closed......was directed to pub just up the road or otherwise to town center, which is not ideal give your staying in this location.

Disappointed in provision for GF breakfast. No GF cereal alternative, no GF toast (staff found me a roll but I had to ask for everything.) Food was good quality when it arrived but having requested a GF meal beforehand thought staff might have been more prepared.

Design meant a mansard/rooflight with restricted view. Room therefore fine for sleeping in but not ideal for staying in. Limited time for relaxing in the bar as it closed at 8.00pm. Light by the bed could have been brighter for reading.

Clean and spacious. Good shower and quality equipment (kettle, cups etc) ideal for using the room as a bedroom. interesting design within the mansard form of roof.

Walls were very thin, I could easily hear the adjoining rooms TV. No internal lock on the door. Check in is between 3pm & 6pm, after that you go in via an entrance to the side and it feels quite isolated. Fine during the day, but I’d be less keen in the dark. Skipped breakfast as it was full of golfers standing around and leaning on the tables (I was there for a work trip, so felt a bit weird to go and sit down for some breakfast)

The room was a really good size, clean and airy but the best feature was the view The lady who saw me to my room was lovely and welcoming

As it is primarily a golf club everything closes around 8.30pm including reception, food and drink availability, and nowhere to sit thereafter apart from your bedroom. The bathroom is too dark for my taste, having a black and chrome decor and the floor is very slippery when wet.

Lovely views, quiet location, good breakfast cooked to order and pleasant staff. Well appointed, airy and light bedroom.
