Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Isle of ManThe walls where very thin and you could here people in the adjacent room using the toilet and see their light switch on and off. The wardrobe doors were secured so could not be used.
The refrigerator came in handy.

United KingdomThe bathroom was for our room but across a corridor which had a camera on it and we were told is how the owner keeps an eye on his property. We found this abit weird, especially having our little girl with us and especially when we had to go to the toilet in the night. Also the bathroom handle was broken which made it hard to go in and out of the bathroom

United KingdomI thought the accommodation had its own parking arrangements. It turned out to be street parking where you could find a spot ! This needs to be made clear when a booking is made.
The location was walkable into Whitby Town centre. Given your own set of keys so we could come and go at our leisure. Accommodation reflected the price, and it's not always easy to find 1 night stopovers.

United KingdomParking was difficult, we had to park a little way away. The bed wasn’t very comfortable unfortunately and my husband and I didn’t sleep too well. However my daughter loved the bunk bed!
The location was good, only a short walk from the centre and from the park. Fridge, microwave and kettle were great and a lovely balcony. All explained very clearly on arrival. Separate bathroom worked ok and better than I thought.
