It was cold only one tiny radiator working and toilet was constantly running en suit tiny my husband could hardly move round it

So cosy and comfortable. Most comfortable bed in the world and just the nicest place to come back to. Really good value as well and the host is really lovely. I felt a lot happier here than I would be in a hotel, it feels like home I love it. Bonus points for a good quantity of tea bags and good tea making facilities in general. Shame I don't drink milk because the proper jug of milk in the fridge was a really nice thought. The toothbrush and toothpaste was great too, I've often forgotten mine in the past. I'd stay here again if I came back to Whitby definitely. It's a good location too, you can walk into town easily, through pannett park too.

The bed was uncomfortable, it stated parking available on the add yet it was road parking and most places around there is permit only. The whole add was not as it seems. It made it sound a hell of alot better than it actually was.

The man we spoke to that gave us the keys and things to our room was lovely, even gave us some milk for free so we could make tea an coffee

Wifi was not available to us due to the storm, but all nearby networks were working. Parking in street was very difficult due to lack of parks. Not easy property entrance to find, no signage. No nearby meal options.

Bathroom door doesn't shut, so no privacy when using toilet or shower, Bed questionable as it was a small mattress that tilts downwards on the bottom.ans larger mattress on the top so unsafe/ unsteady sitting on the edge and large gap between mattress and headboard, Kettle too big to go under tap, Tv on top wardrobe so hard to turn over as signal bad. Had to point remote to the ceiling and opposite wall to try and turn over, Massive wardrobe but 2 of the doors screwed shut, so took up a lot of room but most if it is unusable, Not what I would class as a deluxe room at all based on the amount of times I've stayed in Whitby for that price, Nowhere to park until evening on the road, Decorating very sloppy, Shower curtain held up by bottle caps, Extractor fan ripped off the ceiling,

The locatltion was brilliant, it was lovely and quiet amd the bed was super comfy. There was plenty of light, lovely brew basket and fresh milk.in the fridge and lovely big towels. Felt safe and secure walking there in the dark and getting in,

Pretty sure the owner was ‘on site’ all night in a separate room and distinct feeling there isn’t something quite right about this place: virtually see-through walls between bedrooms and bathroom. One room ‘closed off’ but suspect it was occupied the whole night. Landlord appeared, but never quickly; we were always down the steps before he showed. Reluctantly passed £40 deposit back for breakages

Me and my partner stayed the one night 18/8/23 communication with owner was spot on and he was on hand for anything we needed .Everything in the room was perfect, very clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities were provided aswell as fresh fruit, hairdryer and iron. Excellent value for money. Will definitely be booking another stay here.

parking was a issue even though it states that there is parking I had to pay for parking as there wasn’t any spaces free due to a event on the weekend. I has to call and ask for toilet roll as there wasn’t any in the room it was delivered though by the time we got back from our wander. I paid for a family room with balcony and city views so I would have more space and a extra bed incase I disturbed my partner while she was sleeping and we ended up with just a double. Could see the city just the houses in front and no balcony either. To get to the harbour we had to walk down a considerable amount of steps or down a very steep hill. Would recommend for someone not as fit.

I booked a double room through booking.com for me and my partner, on arrival the host seemed confused with my booking, when we were shown into our room, I was told that booking.com didn’t charge me enough, i apparently paid £50 less than I should, I felt as thought the host was wanting me to pay the difference, which I didn’t, me and my partner ended up in a child’s room, all we had was bunk beds, and and not a double either just a 3/4 bottom bunk, which we spent most of the night falling out of and my partner banging his head on the ladders, the bed was not suitable for two adults at all, we couldn’t watch tv as there was no signal coming through the channels, bathroom was separate and not en suite, although it was nice and clean, the building was in a good location, no parking either, which was almost impossible, as it was a very busy street, based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this room, neither would we stay again.

Absolutely awful,we first got there noone was answering the phone so we made our own way in,plug sockets hanging off wall,bunk beds in the 'family' room tide together with tie Wraps,fridge microwave and kettle was in the wardrobe which couldn't have been safe,the lady who eventually came up was really rude asking why we hadn't rang when we had plenty of times,no parking on the sight like we got told we had,wouldn't recommend, wasn't be booking through here again😷😷😷

Bunk beds were uncomfortable, bottom bed was hold together with wood and cable ties . Bottom bunk was also broke . Fridge with microwave on top with kettle balanced on top inside wardrobe ... Parking better on road as first day got blocked in by residents who live in the building .

Location was great and having a balcony was good . Room was big . Also very quite at night even with it been on main road.

We struggled with the TV but that was probably more due to our struggles with technology & no experience of smart TV. The weather was so good we were out most of the time so wasn't a problem

Our stay exceeded our expectations which were based on reading previous reviews. The room was a reasonable size with a comfortable sofa. Hairdryer, a small iron, plates, bowls, cutlery & a drying cloth were provided which I hadn't expected. There was also a generous supply of biscuits. As the weather was brilliant we enjoyed using the outside space for breakfast. When during our stay we requested spare toilet roll that and more was provided.

Weird set-up , felt like we were in a student bedsit, but the student had just gone away while we were there. Part of bed frame held up with cable ties. Top cover very dirty. Never saw the owner, just gave us directions over the phone to enter the 'flat' , and it was just one room, not sole use of an apartment! it was meant to be quiet , but we could hear others through a door! Tv not working. The kettle was on top of a fridge IN the wardrobe! That can't be a good idea, surely, (Not stored in there, you had to use it in there!) There was soap in a dispenser in the bathroom, which had clearly been used, grubby.

We booked last minute, as had to be in Whitby, so it was cheap, but still more than a YMCA Whitby Abbey stay we had.
