Great location and the property was surprisingly spacious with plenty of room for our family of 5. So many homely and stylish touches and it was such a comfortable and relaxing property. Everything we want in a holiday cottage!

Location on hill. Some taxis didn't even want to go up. We cooked but the cupboard was bare of cooking essentials. No oil etc. Could have left some food as was awkward to get to supermarket.

There was nothing to dislike.. It would have been even better if there had been a dryer and an espressomachine. But those are extra’s and most certainly not shortcomings.

A lovely decorated spacious and bright house, well furnished and very clean. The owners are very kind and helpful. Don’t be fooled by the picture shown on Google Maps, the house really is much better. Parking is near the house on private ground of the owner. Approximately 30 meter away from your front door. Good location in a nice town near the entrance of Dartmoor National Park and a half hour drive from Exeter.

It was a little cramped in the upstairs bedroom for 2 adults

No means of hanging shampoo, soap, etc in the shower cubicle. Would be nice to have a coffee/side table or similar in the lounge.

Great location close to Bovey town with fantastic views. Very large and comfortable bed. Property contained everything we required for our stay.

Simple lock box pick up to access the key when we needed to. Very responsive owners, easy to contact, very friendly and responded to communications quickly. Lovely house, great facilities, well equipped kitchen and some nice treats left for us by the owners, super comfortable beds, lovely bathroom and an incredible view! Plus the location is incredibly close to the village centre, like about 2 mins walk. Will definitely stay there again.

A lovely old house, very nicely decorated, with open fire, secure for the dog and walkable in to a nice town, there was a great dog walk to Parke the National trust property walkable from the house. Emma the owner was on hand with ideas and was really helpful.

Location was perfect! We had 2 dogs with us so the national park was a winner and about a 3 minute drive to the nearest trail. The property itself was very clean and had everything needed. Plenty of choice for a takeaway too if you don’t fancy cooking.

For our long stay, we would have loved to have a dishwasher and dryer (we knew they weren’t included when booking).

Great location with delightful views. Hosts couldn’t have been more helpful during our long stay. Quick (steep) route into town for shopping. Bovey Tracey is a great base for Dartmoor and the coast. Bovey Tracey has a reasonable range of (non-foodie) dining and great shopping options including butcher, greengrocer, deli and cheese shop.

There was nothing about the property we didn’t like. Only one point to note for anyone who has mobility problems, is that the property sits on a steep road. There is a parking space opposite so if you didn’t want to walk into town, you could just drive!

This property is very well cared for and the owners are truly invested in making you feel welcome. Emma is lovely, she came to see us on our first evening, to make sure we were happy with everything. A really personal touch that you don’t usually get. Communication from the booking to the end of our stay has been faultless. The property itself is in a great location off of the town and only a few minutes walk from shops and our family who we were there to visit. Stunning views from inside and the garden. We loved our stay here, it is finished to a high standard and absolutely spotlessly clean. It was so comfortable and inviting. It has a huge sofa which was perfect for us all to lounge on and the beds were all so comfortable, we slept very well. There is a huge bed in the main bedroom. Also a huge bathroom with both shower and bath (a must for me) and the whole property has so much light. Our youngest loved the ‘magical’ bedroom on the top floor, which had pretty lights in the beams and a view of the stars! We took our dog with us and so having a secure garden was fantastic too. It was lovely and quiet there so really easy to relax in the evening after a day exploring on the Moors. Beautiful part of the country to visit and a great property to stay in!
