The room temperature was too warm at night.

The YHA building is beautiful and its surrounding is fabulous. We enjoyed staying there.

The dinner items weren't the best but the desserts and breakfast were great.

Gorgeous location, super clean with really friendly staff. I left my walking boots and the staff really kindly returned them back to me. Thanks so much 😊 make sure you bring plenty of food as supermarkets aren't close.

Showers were nice and hot but the outside changing part of the cubicle was too small so the spray from while you were getting showered soaked the gear you had hanging on the x2 pegs. Maybe a sliding screen or curtain could be added as an improvement. But this was the only minor gripe I would be able to make.

Havn't stayed in a YHA since I was a child, all I can say is what a change!!! The price of course is amazing but meals, coffee, cake and a bar nowadays I couldn't believe it. The location and the views were just mind blowing. Multiple walks from the door and the famous Wool Pack Inn less than 5 mins walk away. Enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow outdoor enthusiasts. Will definitely use this and other YHA's in the future.

There are only two sockets for the eight beds in the dorm room, so bring a portable charger.

I loved the location of this hostel - easy walk to the Stanley Ghyll Waterfalls, Roman Fort Ruins and Eel/Stony Tarn. The dorm room is spacious and everybody here was friendly. Great self catering facilities and restaurant.

Only problem. Was not signal in phone and the WiFi wasn't great. If you had any car trouble you would be in trouble for a signal

Good location out the road and was good value for money. Bedroom were fine and had good heating. Toilet and showers were clean. Good stay for walking sca fell. Lovely pub just 2 min walk away and food was great

The bed was a bit squeeky, but for the rest there is nothing not to like - ok, except that there may be someone snorring during the night, but it's a hostel :)

An exceptional location in an old farmhouse in the middle of the mountains, for a low price. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Great food and drinks to buy, both for breakfast and dinner (of course you can also cook yourself if you prefer). Super cozy atmosphere. All in all a lovely place!

Noise control with in the building maybe... Fire doors are of course a necessity within HMO buildings. Soft door close devices would help.
