Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomFish and chips in garden restaurant were mainly batter and chips, overpriced for what I got. Gym needs a bit of an upgrade to some of the equipment, it’s a bit worn down.
Absolutely beautiful setting, surrounded by the golf course, our room was really comfortable with lovely views, huge bed, bath robes and slippers provided, worth paying for a room overlooking the course. great pool and sauna and steam room, gym was ok. Ate in garden room and bar which was nice, my husbands beef burger was apparently amazing! Would definitely return to this hotel.

New ZealandThe water main had been cut off due to a storm so water quality and pressure had been impacted. We were told about this issue at checkout and staff were able to remediate. Comms were underway but we had checked out early.
The room was comfy and quiet. Staff friendly and responsive.

IrelandQuote for breakfast was €24 each, per morning and would have costed €96 for the two mornings. Booked via booking.com app, was surprised to see advert on room TV for free breakfast if booked direct with hotel. No breakfast is worth that amount and perhaps you could look at this offering for all your guests. We went elsewhere for breakfast each morning as a result. Ratio of differential charge for breakfast versus the fabulous garden room menu fees simply didn’t sit well with us.
Friendly staff, Mark was very personable and friendly. All staff exemplary and tuned into their guests. Loved the room and fabulous pool facilities.

United StatesThis resort is 5-star! Our room was large with very comfortable beds. The indoor pool is warm, big, and well maintained (although the floors were quite slippery) and the staff at both the Leisure Center and the hotel are friendly and informed. We had excellent dinners two nights -- one in the main restaurant and lighter fare in the bar area.

United KingdomThe golf club shouldnt be offered as a dining option for families imo. It was completely void of women and children when we got there with men coming in from a round having drinks together at the 19th. Perhaps that was the luck of the draw but we found it slightly offputting. The menu is also the same as on site at the hotel which we werent expecting.
I have visited many family friendly hotels in Ireland and this one is right up there. The pool facilities for children are excellent, with the right temperature for kids to not get cold quickly and enjoy their time there. Our little one (3) swam every day. The hotel also manages to exude luxury whilst still remaining attractive to families .. breakfast options were superb.

IrelandNo complaints, hard to pick out a negative. The bar menu was limited in choice, however food was very good.
Spa treatments were so relaxing, definitely make sure though that you have booked in advance. We had a delux twin room, very spacious, had 2 very comfortable double beds, and the room was nice and cool at night time. Great breakfast choice, food was very good quality. Staff were very helpful all through the hotel and very friendly.

IrelandIt was a shame that the spa was booked up. A week or so before our stay we had an itinerary/planner sent to us but by then spa was already booked up and we requested to go on a cancellation list which wasn’t replied to through the email communication. We felt at the time of booking we should have been warned plenty of time was needed to book in. With bad weather it doesn’t leave much to do for guests who want to relax if the spa isn’t available. We also felt although the service was fantastic the dinner in Hugo’s (specifically the main) was not amazing considering the price. We enjoyed our dessert more. We didn’t complain to the staff as the staffs themselves were wonderful but food that night wasn’t great.
The room was beautiful and spacious, huge bathroom & shower, you didn’t need anything plenty of towels, robes & slippers provided. Bed was so comfortable and wardrobe contained hairdryer and iron. We enjoyed a really pleasant and fast service for food and drinks throughout our stay particularly in the garden bar and restaurant where we had delicious lunch and dinner/drinks a couple of times. The cocktails were lovely and staff couldn’t do enough to help you they were amazing.
