Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaOur room was too far away from the lifts and it took a long time to walk to our room ( we were placed in the furtherest wing)
We liked the location as it was so close to buses and main attractions. We also liked that two cup cakes were in our room with a welcome sign .

AustraliaThe only downfall was the rush at breakfast time. It’s a large hotel and many people were rushing in as soon as the breakfast commenced.
Good size room and very comfortable bed. Location was close to nice shops, and a short walk to temple bar and Trinity College.

United KingdomOnly downside was the shower kept going hot and cold. When the temperature was steady, the shower was great.
Great location, very open and welcoming in the reception/bar area. Plenty of seating and staff on hand to assist. Lobby bar was open until 2am which was a great place to unwind after a long day! Breakfast was great each morning. Didn’t have to wait for a table and the food was consistently hot and topped up. Great selection of food and drink.

United KingdomOur room was an executive room and it wasn’t much different from a double. Horrible view and the window to the room was in the corner and it was very dark. Not worth the extra cost. Friends had a double and it was a much brighter room and better value for the money.
Great location. Spotless hotel . Lovely staff . Good breakfast. Evening meal in Toddy’s was excellent. Lovely bar staff , reception staff.

GreeceThe major shortcoming of our stay was that our bathroom window did not seem to shut properly and the cold that came in the room, made your stay in the bathroom quite uneasy. Some amenities, like slippers, were missing from the room. I would suggest its addition. Finally, I would suggest the housekeepers to be a bit more careful, as one day someone took our second room key card, and another day another left a duster on my suitcase.
The hotel is located at a very nice spot, at the start of downtown. Thus it is busy, but also quiet district, in contrast with Temple. You need 15 minutes to walk to Trinity and circa 20 to Temple. The room is quite spacious. The bathroom was very nice, especially loved the shower. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices and overall quite tasty. We also drunk a couple of beers at the bar, which was OK.

United KingdomNoisy corridor and we can hear the noise of air conditioning at the back of the room. I requested from the staff to move us to a quiet room and didn’t do any action until after 6 hours I notified the staff again that we can’t watch anything from the television because there was no signal
The location is excellent. Accessible to all. The food is good very reasonable for the price of the hotel and the facilities are so clean

United StatesWe liked the location for its walkabilty to so many places of interest and restaurants as well as easy access to taxis and buses (although we walked everywhere). But it is a busy street with lots of pedestrian and vehicular traffic that might not be to everyone’s liking.
The breakfast buffet had something for every type of diet and was never less than good, often really good. The wait staff was great and made sure that plates were cleared to make room for more. Our rooms faced away from the street and were very quiet. The bathrooms are new, large and have roomy showers. We had some light snacks and drinks at the hotel restaurant/lounge (excellent, friendly service from everyone (especially Deborah!) In fact, the entire staff - from those working in the lobby to staff we encountered in the halls - was notably pleasant and attentive. We were at the hotel for seven days and didn’t have one negative experience.
