Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere was no parking which was a pain and it was obvious that it had been a little run down and designed over but did the job. The breakfast was super expensive and we opted not to eat there which complicated things.
It was nicely designed, modest and clean. The staff was pleasant.

Hong KongThe noise from the street and from the traffic is terrible. You can hear the walking on the corridor and people chatting very clearly.
The staff is really nice and friendly. The location is really convenient, there is bus stops in 5 minutes walk and there is a supermarket nearby.

United Stateslobby is very nice and modern but rooms are very aged and not well maintained, doors that were hard to close, springs in the mattress that would pop, all very dated and in real need of updating. spend some of that money on the rooms instead of the lobby
good location, reasonable value, offered breakfast, staff was willing to answer questions/help

It was a cheap hotel nothing fancy, but the hotel next-door was really nice but it was double the price so I'd rather stay with you because I'm not a rich man yet.

IsraelThe couch in the room was old and a bit dirty and the bathroom had a few dirty stains.. I would go there again nothing too dramatic!
The room was nice, the bathroom as well. I wouldn't call it a 5 star hotel, but very worth it for the price.

United KingdomRoom was facing the main road so a little noisy. Bathroom had no extractor fan, resulting in floor getting very wet quite quickly.
Room was adequate size and comfortable. Staff were pleasant. We were able to park outside of the hotel.

IsraelThe parking was inadequate and I was forced to find parking elsewhere and this was a huge problem for me due to the fact that I am not from Tiberias and unfamiliar with the streets.
I found the staff very friendly and willing to help, as much as they could. The room was a little small, but then this is a small hotel. The food was good and the chef was available to answer questions or to talk. The room was very clean and I really appreciated the little Rosh Hashona present left for me. Though there was no synogogue in the hotel, thankfully the hotel next door had one.

IsraelI ordered a room for couple plus an infant, we got a tween bed in a small room. My daughter was sleeping when we came so I didn't want to move her so I didn't tell anything to the staff. It wasn't so clean. The staff are kids. The staff in the dining room wasn't so efficient. A lot of noise from the road.
Value for money is ok. Nice designed.

Israel1) In stark contrast to the very purpose of online check-in, our check-in process was an arduous long blunder. The reservation I made on Booking.com didn't appear in the front-desk system. I was offered to cancel my reservation on Booking.com and make a new one directly with the front desk. But this hotel doesn't refund cancellations, so that would have meant that we would have had to pay double the amount! Additionally, in order for the hotel to exempt me from their no-refund policy, they would actually have to find my reservation - an action that would have rendered the whole process unnecessary! Only after approximately twenty-five minutes, and some phone calls by the clerk, did he manage to find my reservation. Both key-cards that we received from the front desk didn't open the room door (fourth floor). We returned to the front-desk. The clerk came up with us in order to open the room manually. When opened, we saw that the room didn't fit our reservation. A second room was shown to us on the third floor as an alternative, but it too didn't fit our reservation. Finally, a third alternative room on the second floor fit our reservation. 2) Elevator was claustrophobically small! Three persons barely fit in, and I reckon that a person in a wheelchair will have considerable difficulty getting in. 3) The kettle in our room wasn't clean. The tray lacked sugar-substitutes or non-white sugar. 4) Broken connection of a rod in the metal bed frame that rattled annoyingly. 5) Refrigerator door-seal was worn-out so it didn't seal properly. Consequently, the refrigerator worked too much and produced noise. Water that condensed got absorbed in the carpet. 6) No chair in the room. 7) No hanger to hang towels, or any other damp thing, to dry. 8) The shower was too small! It was difficult to maneuver in or out. No shower-door, so water collected outside it, causing a safety hazard and gross to step on!
- The hotel lobby was aesthetic. - 24-hour front-desk. - Toiletries in the room were tidy, and smelled nice. - Tea and coffee tray was tidy.

United StatesThe hotel was very run down. It felt very dated. There is a bar in the lobby area that is not staffed. The rooms were sparsely decorated. The beds were not particularly comfortable.
The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The breakfast buffet was very nice.
