When you are watching a movie about Toscana and you think, wow, that is beautiful. Agroturismo il Castagnolino is probably where it was filmed because is beautiful. Very good breakfast, great cake

Cosy rooms, delicious breakfast with homemade yoghurt and jams , beautiful Tuscan sheep dog and friendly cats! Highlight was the delicious dinner with local wine, grazie Carmela ☺️

Unfortunately the room doesn't provide any thing for guests to make hot water or tea, you can ask the owner for a cup of hot water or tea though.

Beautiful farmer house. Delicious home made breakfast, which is better than most hotels. Very nice hospitality by the owner.

I was made to feel very welcome, and the host and staff were extremely generous, warm and caring. The views from my room and the restaurant were stunning. My stay was peaceful and the breakfast buffet was excellent especially Carmella’s fresh homemade yogurt and superb freshly baked cakes everyday !!

Everything! Carmella is an lovely host and my stay was so relaxing. The meals are incredible and cooking class was fantastic. The setting is beautiful and very comfortable accommodation in the old farm house. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here

Tea/coffee in the room would have been a nice addition for end of the night. Would have liked a more powerful hairdryer.

The food was unbelievably good. The host cooked dinner and explained with every course what it was and even got herbs from the garden. The wine was also good. The swimmingpool is a real plus.

Carmella greets you with her smile and wonderfull views on her property. She and her staff provide you the best possible stay. You can feel at peace at this location, it’s quiet and well mantained.

The reception was a bit tricky to find and we were greeted rather coldly for having driven on a private road, which our GPS unfortunately took us on. We were staying at the ground level, which meant it didn't feel very private to keep the window open for air and we could hear conversations from the garden.

Quaint location, in the middle of the countryside outside town. Cute garden and outdoor dining space. Other guests seemed to enjoy the pool as well, however we did not take advantage of it. The breakfast had many options and was refilled promptly. Clean and spacious room.

Our stay here was amazing! Our room was comfortable and quiet, the view of the hills was beautiful from the property, and the food was outstanding. Highly recommend the four course meal offered by Carmela. Don’t forget to try her fresh-baked pastries ever morning at breakfast! We also spent time exploring San Gimignano, which was a short drive away.

Lovely spot in the country side just a short car ride into town- room was clean and tidy with comfy bed and good shower- breakfast was nice and you can book dinner in advance which was excellent. Recommended

There was so much to love about this stay. The location was great - 10 minutes out of San Gigimano Town, close to local wineries and Il Castagnolino itself was such a beautiful place to stay amongst the olive trees and Tuscan Hills. Carmela was such a friendly and caring host - I would highly recommend booking the four course meal during your stay as her cooking is fantastic! We really loved our stay ☺️

Sometimes during evenings we didn't have any warm water. In the mornings it was working again, perhaps the guests all wanted to take a shower at the same time. It is a pitty that there is no little fridge in the room and no coffee maker. But we did go out a lot during day time so for us it was no problem.

The views, the food and friendly staff and owner made us feel at home and were wonderful to experience for 1,5 week. We will certainly come back again. Only 10 minutes by car to San Gimignano. Very nice and well maintained garden, lovely fresh breakfast in the morning in the garden. No complaints at all. Enough parking space, secured surrounding.

It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room. Google Maps sent us the wrong way, so we ended up driving the back road up. It would be much nicer to enter the property the right, much more appealing way ;)...

An amazing, delicious breakfast with many choices. Homemade yogurt was amazing. We just stayed for one night and weren't aware we could have ordered dinner at the property earlier. It would have been a great experience. Looks like the host is making other attractions, like cooking classes, available for her quests, so make sure you ask ahead if interested. Nice location right by San Gimignano with free parking. Great views of the area at nighttime!

Hot water ran low, i guess after all guest used shower, it was hot again in the morning.
