Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAlthough the breakfast each morning was delicious, it would have been better to have more choice rather than the same breakfast on offer each day.
The staff were more than helpful especially when we needed to change our room in the main house as the stone stairs were too step as I have a hip problem. Their own wines, especially the rose and red wines, were superb.

ItalyDidn't particularly like the food but just because of my difficult taste. The beautiful windows were also doors on the main corridors so I couldn't keep them uncovered, otherway people would just see inside but wasn't much of a problem.
beautiful location and very big rooms and comfy bed. Was very cold outside but the temperature inside was just perfect. Nice staff and home made products.

MaltaWe had some noisy guests which of cause is not the fault of the place but because we were in the old part, the doors were not sound proofed. Our Friend was in the new block and he didn't hear anything when in his room. Also the workers had their morning meeting or coffee right outside our window one morning around 6.00 BUT again we can't really complain because it is a working farm and it was Grape picking time! So really there was nothing much we didn't like :-D
Everything was as expected from the description. It's a working farm so it is not walking distance from anywhere. We had a good upgrade in room which was very nice and much appreciated.

NetherlandsWifi didn’t reach our room, and the pool wasn’t very clean. We decides to skip.
Beautiful hotel in Apulia neat Bari and Monopoli or any other coastal cities. It was easy to reach and was such a beautiful location! Vinyards all around as well as olive trees. We tasted their own wine and olive oil. The oil was just amazing, we had to buy a can for back home! The rooms were clean, perfectly decorated according to the theme of the hotel and we had an amazing balcony where we could enjoy our day looking over the vinyards! We also enjoyed the breakfast and set dinners the hotel had to offer. Every night was a different theme. Overal a beautiful location, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere!

GermanyMake sure you put the name of the place itself (not the street) into your google maps. That will be very much speed up the search progress as the place is a little hidden.
We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the comfort beds and the very rich and great breakfast a lot. The owners take care of you very well and leave you with a very clean room.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaThe room which we used needs good restoration work - walls, floor, furniture very old but not maintained well (the doors, windows can not work properly). Maybe there are better rooms but this one was really bad. It is historic building but definitely needs a real restoration work and better maintenance. Enough reasons to say it is not worth the money we paid for.
Staff was very polite, bed sheets, towels extremely clean, good to have espresso machine in the room.

HungaryThe unfortunate arrangement of the rooms and the nonexistent soundproofing between them creates you the privacy of a campsite; you'll likely overhear everything from your neighbor and see people passing in front of the glass doors. Tried dinner once but were quite disappointed, the food was nothing special - especially for the price. The coffee served at the breakfast is simply horrible (not just for Italy). The surroundings of the site are anything but a romantic countryside, rather some industrial area - taking a walk or going for a run won't be the first things you want to do here. In fact, there isn't much to do here, the place could benefit from some community areas to hang out, do sports, etc.
Breakfast is generous and tasty, although quite the same thing every day (stayed 6 nights). The site itself is nice and the staff is very friendly. The rooms were clean and taken care of daily. The swimming pool area looks great too, although it was too cold for us to try in late October. The place is is quite child-friendly with a small playground animals to meet.

AustraliaLoud at night - dogs neighbouring the property barking all night keeping us awake. Service was poor - after check-in there was absolutely no service whatsoever - to the point that they wouldn’t order us a taxi & the reception was always empty. My pregnant fiancée couldn’t get food to our room whilst I was out ‘because we don’t do room service’ - our little boy was sleeping at the time - very low level hospitality

NetherlandsBesides for the swimming pool, there was not much else to do, the surrounding areas were not ideal, no real view to speak off, and located close to industrial area. They allow outside visitors to swim at the pool so that made it crowded and at the rate we paid we were expecting a bit more privacy. On the day of checking out my wife left her handbag and perfume in the room, and this was taken by either the staff or day visitors, that being said the manager of the accommodation conveniently turned a blind eye and made no effort to assist in finding the items.
Rooms were comfortable and clean, beds made daily, the room had a nice shower and good size for parents with two kids.

SloveniaStairs. 49 in total, of which 40 are really steep (for rooms 6 and 7 in 2nd floor). There is no mention of stairs on the Booking site and on the Lama San Giorgio website they describe the stairs as charming. Beleive me, stairs are not charming. Terrace (room 6) They should close it and make a huge makeover. View Not nice, but not bad either. Nothing to brag about. If you want the best experience, go for new rooms near the pool. It's quieter than in masseria, where they organize special celebrations for outside guests. If you are really fit and want to have exercise experience, 2nd floor rooms in masseria can do the job.
Staff Very helpful and friendly staff, tastfull furniture in room and common arreas. Good breakfast and nice surprise with gluten-free sweet. Guy working at pool bar help reserved restaurant for us. Also the girl working in the recption was very friendly and helpful. Pool. Nice surrounding, enough sunbeds, but too small for 19 rooms. It was closed for 4 days we stayed there (repairs) They reimbursed us for that. If it was only staff and pool I would give them10. But...
