Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing!
Had a lovely stay here with my partner in August 2023. Alessandro and Antonella are incredibly welcoming and relaxed hosts. You get a nice breakfast (the local honey is a real treat!) and Sardinian home cooking for dinner in the evening. The antipasti were the best I’ve had – and I have had a lot – and Antonella will also cook some hearty pasta, meat and desert as you require. Beers can be acquired with a quick nod to Alessandro (“bis” became a common word for us) and any other needs will be met if you just ask. For example, we needed some sandwiches for the airport and Alessandro made use a couple of enormous meat and cheese wraps with Sardinian bread! The farmhouse has a beautiful view over Lago Lerno. You will barely see a car, except for a few adventurous tourists who drive to the nuraghe located on the property. There are a number of interesting sites nearby – my personal recommendations would be the excellent Nuraghe Santu Antine (whilst you are there you can also do the Domus de Janas of Sant'Andrea Priu) and a tour of the Grotta di San Michele + good archaeological museum at Ozieri (followed by a superb pasta lunch at La Torre). The room itself was pleasant with an antique bed and excellent view. We shut the shutters when the sun was up, which kept the temperature nice and mild. The surprising lack of mosquitos means you can keep the window open at night. That is also good advice for seeing the incredible night sky you get in Sardinia. Some additional comments. The photos of the room do not do the location justice – trust all the amazing reviews! Second, the road to the farm is totally fine and only unpaved right at the end. I think it has been upgraded recently. Lastly, some previous reviews said the food and drink needed to be paid for in cash at the end of your stay, but Alessandro now has a card machine that works well. I can’t thank Alessandro and family enough for ensuring we had an amazing end to our trip to Italy this year.

United KingdomPerfect for us as we were on touring and ebikes. There were outside charging points in the courtyard. However, the access road would have been more of a challenge for those on road bikes. Although the cash only policy was clear in the blurb, card payment would have been handy.
We received the host’s undivided attention throughout our stay at this out-of-the-way gem. We settled on French as a common language but in truth, the place and service spoke for themselves. The lake view was like a post card, the meals sumptuous and the rooms airy without the hum of air con.

NetherlandsThe breakfast was rather simple. However, as soon as Alessandro had seen what we like, the second day was much better. I think if you stay here and really like something in particular: let it be known in advance.
Beautiful scenery. We made a nice walk to the top of the hill through the oak woods. We swam in the lake. Alessandro is a very helpful and charming host and - most of all - an excellent cook. We had a great two days, quiet. I read some comments on the road, which has some holes. Those holes can easily be bypassed. We drive a VW Polo that did not have any trouble at all.

PortugalThe lack of air conditioning in the rooms.
It is a cozy and quiet property, far from the busy road. Closer to a beautiful lake. Good food (we had dinner and breakfast there). I’d definitely stay there again. But if it’ll be on Summer again, only after they get air conditioned rooms.

United StatesPillows are definitely too high, if you love to sleep on less steep pillows, keep this in mind. The road is quite wild, but that gives beauty to the place.
Loved the ambient, the staff was super nice and it's a great immersion in nature. The food was super!!
